 Re: Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Anyone get a chance to see the new 3D/4k version in theaters? I heard it was actually pretty magical.

I saw it at the cinema back in 2009. I missed the 3D one when it came to China.

They've never released any version here unfortunately. I'll be the first one to book tickets but people don't buy tickets for old movies in the market

 Re: Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Same for China. Old movies just do not get released here, especially western ones. T2 was the only one I've ever even heard about coming out here, and even that wasn't a standard re-release. It only came here (and for a very limited time in a few select cities) because it was in 3D.

 Re: Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Man you guys are missing out. When I was in college we had a theater down the street and all they did was play old prints.
I remember in the first month I watched Raiders, Jaws, Godfather. And the theaters were pretty packed almost all the time. My favorite was watching Ghostbusters at the Library in NYC that opens the film and Ernie Hudson introduced it.

 Re: Terminator 2: Judgment Day
One of the best 10 movies ever.
I rewatched this again, because why not, it's been maybe a decade since I've seen it and it just does not age. It's so fantastic, from the story in itself, it's connection to the first film, the action, the casting, the score. The first film is amazing, but Cameron did something that's so hard, going bigger in the sequel and managing to up one of the greatest films ever to an even greater film. This film just has everything, comedy, drama, horror and thrills in a sci-fi jacket. Every dollar spend on this was worth it, heck some of the effects look even better than modern films nowadays. A superbly well crafted film bolstered by having Arnold star at his peak.
