 Deadpool 2
Quote: Deadpool 2 is a 2018 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Deadpool, distributed by 20th Century Fox. It is the eleventh installment in the X-Men film series and a sequel to the 2016 film Deadpool. The film is directed by David Leitch from a script by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Ryan Reynolds, with Reynolds starring in the title role alongside Josh Brolin, Morena Baccarin, Julian Dennison, Zazie Beetz, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, and Jack Kesy. In the film, Deadpool forms the team X-Force to protect a young mutant from Cable.

 Re: Deadpool 2
Its not funny but the LOL moments are better than the first on. There is a continuous flow of comedy that keeps things alive just like the original. Its fast paced and less gory this time but it definitely has a better storyline than the last one. Reynolds is GREAT here, Brolin and Beetz are equally great and almost steal the show from Reynolds. I like the cameo and the post-credit scene is HILARIOUS and opening with Ashes is BRILLIANTLY used. The graphics looked shady at times and Cable's final decision feels forced. The team-up is not as exciting specially the finale, I liked the vehicle chase scene better.

The new X-Men along with Wolverine in post-credits. Brad Pitt as the Vanisher was equally great. Most of these cameos are blink-and-miss aside from maybe Wolverine (though its in post-credits).

I dug it. Not as funny as everyone says it is, but it has a good story unlike the first one

 Re: Deadpool 2
I highly enjoyed it. It retains the strengths of the first film—how snugly, for example, the title role fits Ryan Reynolds and how clearly he relishes playing it—but also improves upon it in myriad ways. The action is more exciting and elaborately choreographed, with lots of absurd-ghoulish only-this-franchise-can-go-there details. The cameos, quips, and references are funnier in general. The new characters—not just Josh Brolin's perfectly brooding and knotty Cable, but also Zazie Beetz' charismatic, fetching Domino and an angst-ridden Kiwi mutant played by Hunt for the Wilderpeople's Julian Dennison—are dynamic and a welcome addition to the overall tapestry of the X-Men franchise. I have a few minor qualms (Cable is introduced rather abruptly and deserves a more striking first scene), but none are too significant.

 Re: Deadpool 2
Nowhere near as good as the first one IMO, but I was still entertained at least. Reynolds is still in top form here as Deadpool, but the jokes just didn't land as much for me as they did last time, and it doesn't help that so many of them were rehashed which I am never a big fan of when it comes to comedy sequels. As for the new additions Domino definitely stands out the most which surprised me honestly considering how much was built up around Cable. Brolin is good, but there really wasn't a whole lot to his character that made me actually care about him. I'm also kind of meh on Julian Dennison's character as well. Not that he was bad, but I didn't really like his story either. The action sequences are well choreographed, but I think it says something that my favorite scene was easily Colossus Vs. The Juggernaut. The Green screen CGI was awful in a lot of places too.

 Re: Deadpool 2
I think Mystery Men was more of a commentary on superhero movies of the 90s and Deadpool on the MCU Era

 Re: Deadpool 2
I saw this again. I am truly impressed by this film. It is such an improvement in certain key areas. The first is a brilliant showcase for Reynolds' interpretation of the character, but it otherwise plays as a series of superhero-lampooning sketches strung together. I hardly remember the villain (I believe it was the dude who played the lead in the regrettable fourth Transporter movie). The contributions of Cable, Domino, and Firefist give this sequel so much more emotional resonance and heft while still firing on every cylinder in terms of sarcasm, meta references, etc.

Its definitely not a standard MCU movie even though its not as wildly different as the original.

 Re: Deadpool 2
About 30% of the jokes, most especially the meta ones that make the character kind of annoying, fall flat. Domino and Cable are really cool, but they don’t get much characterizing outside of their powers. And yes you wish they didn’t fridge Vanessa at the beginning, though it does lead to a funny title sequence and an earned emotional ending.
This is freakin great though. Better than the first, which while good, dragged after the first act. Much like Days of Future Past, I really liked how the plot revolved around not killing someone rather than killing a thousand bad guys to get to the ultimate bad guy. And I’m always a sucker for building your own family when the one you already had didn’t work out for whatever reason. This plays like a Fast and Furious movie as much as an X-Men movie.
The entire convoy scene, starting with parachuting in rough winds through Domino’s very cinematic luck and ending with Deadpool being ripped in half by Juggernaut is just excellence. It is the scene of the year.

Best scene of the year goes to the battle on Titan in Infinity Wars. Finally Marvel does action right

 Re: Deadpool 2
It's not very funny, it's not very good.
It's attempt is parody is lazy and the movie falls into the same trap.
Feels like a bunch of videos off College Humour with a budget.

Deadpool 2
This is just an absolute blast and exactly what you want from an R-rated action blockbuster. From start-to-finish it constantly throws hilarious pop culture references, awesome comic ultra-violence, and surprising fanboy treats at you, making this sequel one of the flat-out most fun films I have seen at the cinema. The self-awareness is on another level. I won't go into detail, but every little quip, whether it's about The Passion of the Christ's box office or touching on Deadpool's insecurity with Logan, is so entertaining. Then on top of that you have Juggernaut, Brad Pitt, Colossus, that Origins and Green Lantern mid-credits scene (lol), and the luck-manipulating Domino. Just great all-round comic-book entertainment for adults. Not to mention Cable, who is just fucking awesome.

 Re: Deadpool 2
In short, this was a blast. Deadpool felt like a successful experiment and Deadpool 2 fine tuned the formula like only few sequels can. Not by miles, but it's bigger and better in terms of spectacle while keeping the jokes firing on all cylinders. The drama is laid on thicker and it creates a more compelling narrative for the characters, including new ones Cable and the New Zealand kid which are welcome additions. There's still some room for improvement too though, it runs a little bit too long perhaps, some parts of dialogue feel like going on for too long trying to hone in more jokes or dragging out a certain point. Aside from that it nails pretty much everything else, including a nice string of songs being used in the film, cool action and Juggernaut is pretty bad-ass. Highlight of the film was the halo jump with the team, and the quick demise of almost all upon landing, had me cracking up. The scene where the normal guy gets cast while the Indian guy enters the room was a great bit too. The film wins in just so many ways.

Well I'm glad you guys really liked it. Maybe I will watch it again one day and hopefully enjoy it more than I did the first time, but as of right now this movie was kind of a disappointment for me.

This was better than the first. The references came so fast I have to rewatch it to catch all of them. Still not an all time favorite for me but definitely a good time.

 Re: Deadpool 2
Pretty funny, although the novelty was a bit more fresh in the first movie. The scene with the parachute jump and his whole team dying was classic. The baby legs scene was funny too. They did a good job making Deadpool vulnerable despite being able to survive anything from getting stabbed through the head or blown to bits.

 Re: Deadpool 2
Still retains all the good things from the original and while in theaters I didn't love the movie as much as I do now while watching the series. The story is definitely much better than the first one but ofcourse the novelty is now gone, the jokes are no longer as fresh but they still work 80% of the time.
