Re: Avengers: Infinity War *Spoiler Warning*
Even though we know Peter is coming back. In that moment you have a scared kid who doesn’t know he is going to come back. He does not want to go. Thanks to Tom Holland and RDJ that scene is easily the most emotionally satisfying moment in the series.

Re: Avengers: Infinity War *Spoiler Warning*
Spider-Man 2 could be a prequel to Infinity War, and we know that the deal with Disney is finite. And it fits Tony’s arc, he didn’t want him to be involved but still has Parker’s blood on his hands. So killing him off could have been plausible. The same with everybody else really. Except for Black Panther who is way too much cash right now. That’s what kills any believability.

Re: Avengers: Infinity War *Spoiler Warning*
I mean come on though guys. We are so biased because we know upcoming film schedules, look at all things film, and desperately try to find spoilers whenever we can.
Put your heads back and really look at this from the majority 87% of people watching these films. They were hurting, and the mere fact that most of us knew what was coming and it still kind of hurt means they did a great job.
Obviously DR. Strange seeing 1 possibility out of 14.6 million has to do with Thanos getting all the stones.
I keep saying it. Make an Edge of Tomorrow Avengers films, and 3 of the mains will have to die in the end to defeat him in the end.
And now Red Skull has nothing to do, so no reason he can't be back for Part II or future films.

Re: Avengers: Infinity War *Spoiler Warning*
I mean we are pretty much equivalent to the MCU comic readers (if not one) who know whats going to come but that's not true with GA. They don't know about the next installments in 2018 much less 2019 and beyond. The correct way to see this movie is to view the franchise as you would have read a novel.
Also what were people expecting? We all knew here that there is 4th movie coming around next year.

I liked the movie but yeah... ending made me frustrated because what will be the consequences? Most of those people will be back. Think they should've just had Tony die.

Re: Avengers: Infinity War *Spoiler Warning*
Well I would argue to contrary again. Tony definitely had strong presence in the film, he was certainly not the focus, that’s kind of also why I’m loving th film as it does kind of have a THANOS! This week the Avengers, kind of vibe. This film is about as close to Saturday morning cartoon as you get.
But to the point, cap and iron man ar going to be focal again if it’s their true last. At the very least you neeed them to what stark would say “talk shit out”

Re: Avengers: Infinity War *Spoiler Warning*
I am a fan of this film. I saw it on Friday and then again on Saturday. It does a tremendous job blending the disparate characters, sub-franchises, and tones—say, the cosmic-ironic pop of the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Cold War-lite gloom of the second and third Captain America films—to create an exhausting-but-enthralling panorama. Seeing so many Marvel characters interacting (Spider-Man swinging into action with Doctor Strange, for instance, or Thor enlisting Groot and Rocket Raccoon for a space adventure) excited and moved me more than I expected; I definitely felt an enthusiastic inner child rousing. And Thanos is a wonderful antagonist, on the same shelf as Heath Ledger's Joker and Ian McKellen's Magneto among the best of the 21st-century superhero-cinema renaissance. His gargantuan size and purple flesh results in an otherworldly menace, but Josh Brolin's presence shines through the stylized motion-capture rendering, giving the character a broodingly vulnerable quality, too.

Re: Avengers: Infinity War *Spoiler Warning*
It's Disney. These are kids movies. Stark is the flagship character who for the vast majority was the most popular hero. They brought back Paltrow and have them talking children in their one scene together. Stark is going to live happily ever after. Make no mistake.

And no way Spider Man is dead. Didn't Holland sign a mega deal to play the role for some time?

Re: Avengers: Infinity War *Spoiler Warning*
Absolutely loved this movie. Seeing Loki get choked to death in the first 5 min tells you that shit just got serious. my wife and I looked at each and said "Did that just happen?". Best scene bar none is when Thor meets the Guardians. Drax steals every scene he is in. Had me in stiches a few times. Like others have said Thanos makes this different than the other Avengers films. Finally there is a villain that can take on all our super heroes. Saw this in IMAX 3D and I must say this ranks up there best 3D movies I have seen. Filming the entire movie with IMAX cameras made the epic battle sequences all the more impressive. I hope future films are filmed this way.
As far as Marvel movies go, this is the top of my list.

Re: Avengers: Infinity War *Spoiler Warning*
Watching this for a second time definitely helps. My grade still hasn't changed, because I do think it gets a bit messy at points with all the jumping around to different locations and certain parts feeling more rushed than others. I also wish certain characters weren't so underused, but this film is such a blast from start to finish. It really does feel epic, especially in terms of the action sequences and I just love how it looks visually. A particular scene with Thanos and Gamora on a planet is just ridiculously stunning to adsorb a second time around and Silvestri's score is just GODLY.

Re: Avengers: Infinity War *Spoiler Warning*
The big question: is Howard the Duck dead?
Seriously, though: Thor says at one point half of the Asgard refugees are dead, but it seems more as if everyone is dead. The ship blew up after what seemed to be quite the thorough massacre. Not sure how, say, Valkyrie and Korg are alive...

It has been a long, long time since I heard an audience react the way they did to Thor's arrival on Wakanda. Good lord.

Magnus wrote: I can’t believe anyone actually thinks anyone who died in the last 10min is actually dead and won’t be in any MCU films going forward (except Vision, who May be dead dead). Right? Why would Disney kill off half their leading men LMAO. Also it's pretty telling that ones who died in this one are the ones whose respective franchises still have plenty of milking potential left. There will be more Homecomings, Dr Stranges, Guardians, and Black Panthers. Whereas Iron Man, Captain America and Thor have been thoroughly milked at this point. Which leads me to believe that they will be the ones to definitively die in Infinity War Part 2. It would be a neat thematic full circle moment, and allow those actors to move on in a way that makes sense.
