There is no denying that this will have HUGE rush factor. The point is how big. I do think its previews will be BIG and it can even challenge TFA's $57m previews though I feel it will fall short with $55m previews and these ticket sales only support the same.

Its surely going to be HUGE in OS markets. I wonder if there is a chance for $2b WW total this time.

If it doesn't I definitely think it will come really close. Legs are the biggest issue IMO, but maybe it can get there if WOM is more on par with the first Avengers movie. I currently see it ending around $1.6-1.7B WW though.

I think we could see it break the OW record.

Even I who hated hated hated Age of Ultron (seriously one of the worst films I've ever had to sit through) will probably watch it simply for the novelty of seeing so many big superheroes together. This line up makes the original Avengers look like child's play.

This is somewhat old news, but apparently IW also set a pre-sales record in Brazil +25% from the previous record holder which was The Force Awakens.

Yeah that's my concern as well and I don't think WoM will be on par with first Avengers movie. It will be better than AoU though.

So much glamor and hype. Maybe one day a movie will unite Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and the Flash. Crazy to even imagine.

It's too weak in Japan for that to happen imo, but who knows ? I guess China could make up for it.

Yeah I don't think Japan is really going to be hindrance for $2b given that the past 2 Avengers movies reached $1.4b+ mark and AoU even with bad WoM got very close to $1b OS mark. Given the hype and presales assuming record breaking opening numbers in many markets, I think the increase is a given which would lead the movie to $1.1b OS mark for sure but more will depend on over-performance in few large markets specially China. Also Avengers did $45m and that's about $50m off from SW7 (without which it would have still reach $2b mark). An over-performance in Japan will only help but I don't think its a deciding factor for IW to get past $2b mark.

What? Dory missed $500m mark and there is no way Incredibles 2 does that. MI movies have settled into $200m category its not going to jump additional 50% from last movie.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'd love it if these were the results for IW. Anything over $600M has to be considered a big success IMO, especially coming off of AOU.

This will succeed based on Pixar's brand name and the original's good will but $500m is reaching too far plus as I mentioned Dory which came from a higher grossing more beloved original didn't reach $500m so I don't think this will as well.

Incredibles played like a superhero movie. A damn good superhero movie. All good superhero movies demand a sequel. Pixar made us wait 14 fucking years for it. Incredibles 2 is going to do gang buster business. I guarantee it! I’ll bet you anything lol
