If the mother knew about the sex offender's past before this happened, then she should be brought up on charges of child endangerment.

I can't believe how some people think.

Yeah I know it says he had some rape convictions before but did the mother know?

Yeah - why rehabilitate them when you can just shoot them in the head? I am still amazed we keep these KNOWN murderers or rapers/molesters like this guy alive when we know he did it. What good is he now now that he is in jail? These people are lower than dirt and don't deserve life - they murdered another life so why do we keep these bastards in jail? This man (whatever his name is) deserves no trial, no court, but only a bullet to his dick (so he suffers and regrets it for a little bit) then his head. He doesn't deserve the privelage of life.

It's in my opinion that rotting in jail is worse than dying.

Exactly. When you are having a good time on your first date do you ask your partner "Are you a sex offender?". That would just be retarded move and would screw up the entire date.

Okay. Well, how about they ROT in jail. They EAT in their cell - not cafeteria or weight lifting. They eat left overs from the guards/police/etc and drink toilet water. And have to go through daily torture sessions were they put cigs in their eyes or they have to get whipped 50 times.

Honestly, I don't think the mother knew. Who drops by their local police hall every week to see if any new neighbors are registered sex offenders??? He may have been over from another town nearby too. Do you go daily to ckeck with the police who moved into the neighborhood? And yes, it's not something that comes up unless the offender brings it up. How affronted would you be, if even later into a relationship your girlfriend/boyfriend was like "Do you have anything you want to tell me?" Sure you might tell them about the cutie behind the bar you made out with in the bathroom once in a moment of weakness 4 months ago, but you're probably not going to be like "Well honey, we've been getting along pretty well and I think you should know I'm a convicted rapist."

BTW, if the mother had an inkling, or just ultimately didn't feel comfortable with his character, that's probably why she broke up with him. They weren't dating at this time, and the son had said he hadn't seen the man in ages. The mother probably just told her kids she broke up with the guy because 1.She didn't know anything else, or 2. Didn't want to freak out her 13 year old and didn't anticipate the guy coming around again. I don't get restraining orders on everyone I break up with.

This just seems like a bad situation with only one person really at fault. Maybe two if you dig deep back into when he was first released. Its impossible to tell though. I think its pretty much just his fault.

I like the way the NBC article becomes an impromptu advert for christianity about halfway through:

Quote:
The church had become her refuge from troubles in her life, including times when she had run away from home.

“People asked me why did she come here, why did she spend her time here,” said Matt Fontana, the youth minister at the church. “Because she found love here ... Now she’s in heaven.”

Amen...

Thanks for the advice. I thought it must have been something I said, I couldn't understand why she got up and left. ](*,)

Because no one deserves punishment that cruel. You'd think that with the world we live in today that some people would not still be so bloodthirsty and malicious. A murderer, a rapist, they are bad people and deserve punishment. However, they are still human beings, and there is a little something called human rights. The fact that you would willingly have this happen to hundreds of thousands of people across the planet in my opinion makes you just as sadisstic and blood thirsty as many of the people in there. That's the sort of thing that only the most savage of dictators would have the stomach to inforce. People that say things like this should happen to bad people remind me of the serial killer from Seven. Comitting these horrors onto those who have comitted sins only makes you a sinner as well.

It's a good thing to punish them that way to make examples and try to scare other people off. I mean, the Prison system these days is too nice. Letting them lift weights? Letting rival gang members share the same cells? Cafeteria? Please! We need to go hard on these assholes: and if we have to torture them to make them stop, so be it. If we don't go hardcore on these people they will never stop. Sure, there will still be crime but it will be lower. And it is not a sin to murder a murderer, or torture a rapist: it is justice. I mean, if your mom was brutally raped and beaten and killed, wouldn't you want to torture that SOB that did it? I would. And sadly it happens in the masses because we aren't going hardcore on these criminals. Put your morals aside, I say it's time we get back at those assholes!

Ok....I think these sick fucks who molest kids...rape people...etc are sick and twisted and should be put away for life in jail...Like really. They should be punished and sit away in a jail cell forever. But killing them is doing nothing. We as humans have NO RIGHT to kill another human.

True, but most US States have a web site where you simply type in your zip code and they'll show every registered sex offender in your area. They give you their name, date of birth, etc...

For example, here's Michigan's...

http://www.mipsor.state.mi.us/

Simply type in your potential boyfriends zip codes or name and check it out. For example, try typing in 49017 zip code to see everyone registered in the Battle Creek area.

Now if only England had one of these, we could find all we wanted to know about Snrub!

I'm not sure that every State has this available, but I believe the majority do. Best way to check is to check on your State's official web site, or go to Google type in your states name and "sex offender registry" and look for links to an official site.

What State are you registered in for molesting your PS2?

Do murderers, who have served time and released, do they have to register too? Or do they only require that of sex offenders. Just seems odd if they do one and not the other.

There are a lot of Kentucky jokes I could make, but I'll refrain. Oh, who am I kidding? Ketucky is the only State where they list the non-sex offenders. They find it easier to keep track of the 10 non-offenders than the millions of offenders.

Ok, I got that out of my system. Here's Kentucky's site...

Not many cold blooded murderers get released. Those charged with negligent homicide get released, but those are usually accidental and I'm not aware of those people being repeat offenders much.

The unique thing about sex offenders is they generally spend very little time in jail, but have a high probability of doing it again. I imagine this is the reasoning behind listing them and not others...

But, most states have a searchable database of anybody who has ever been in prison. Once again, here is Michigan's... http://www.michigan.gov/corrections/0,1 ... --,00.html It won't give you their current address if released, but it'll tell you just about everything else, and show a picture for active offenders. I like to visit it ocassionally to keep tabs on the idiots I've placed in there.
