 Re: Most anticipated 2018 release?
Like in 2015, this should be a "What is your second most anticipated release" thread. 2. Black Panther 3. Halloween 4. Wreck It Ralph 2 5. First Man Jan: Paddington 2, Den of Thieves Feb: Annihilation, Cloverfield 3 March: Ready Player One, Red Sparrow, A Wrinkle In Time April: A Quiet Place, New Mutants, Rampage, Super Troopers 2 May: Solo, Slenderman June: Jurassic, Incredibles, Deadpool July: Ant-Man, Battle Angel, The Nun August: Meg, Predator September: Goosebumps, Fighting With My Family October: Venom Nov: Fantastic Beasts, Creed, Dark Phoenix, Holmes Dec: Aquaman Not a ton of heavily anticipated films, but this is still a pretty good schedule. Needs more comedy though.

 Re: Most anticipated 2018 release?
A lot depends on trailers that aren't released yet. But based on pedigree involved and subject matter it's probably Boy Erased at this point. Also really excited for Thoroughbreds, Disobedience, and A Quiet Place. Love, Simon looks cute. Red Sparrow should be good. I think Mamma Mia 2 should be fun. I enjoyed the first. Meg will hopefully be cool. I would have been really looking forward to Goosebumps 2 but it doesn't sound like they're bringing the original cast back which pisses me off. Looking forward to Halloween. I wish I could be excited for Girl In The Spider's Web but Rooney Mara not being back has me not very excited at all. I'm looking forward to Mary Poppins Returns for Emily Blunt.

It might be easier for stuffp to answer "Which films don't you care for in 2018?".

Amended a little bit. Had to remove Slenderman because of the trailer and Goosebumps because it probably won’t come out.

Black Panther Annihilation Ready Player One Blockers Avengers Solo Deadpool 2 The Incredibles 2 Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Sicario 2: Soldado Ant-Man and the Wasp Mission: Impossible 6 First Man Halloween Dark Phoenix Holmes & Watson Fantastic Beasts 2 Wreck-It Ralph 2 Robert Zemeckis / Steve Carell project Aquaman Mary Poppins Returns
If it weren't for Moviepass, I don't think I'd go to a theater until Black Panther, at least for 2018 films. I still have plenty from last year to catch up on.
Hopefully the Oscar films that'll get made and aren't on the release schedule yet will be interesting because this year looks kind of bleak. And even though I think Mary Poppins will do extremely well, it seems like there's a big film missing from December. Maybe it's just the lack of Star Wars.

 Re: Most anticipated 2018 release?
It really is hard to gauge the excitement for the smaller stuff this early out, but I'm definitely looking forward to First Man, Widows, Apostle, White Boy Rick and If Beale Street Could Talk. Its just hard putting them on my most anticipated list when their aren't even any trailers out for those films.

 Re: Most anticipated 2018 release?
Just watched the trailer and it mentions "the women of Marwen", so I'm guessing it was a title change and that is the film you were anticipating. It would be too much of a coincidence to have two films with the name "Marwen" in the title. Must be it.

 Re: Most anticipated 2018 release?
I think the title change was a good one...but the best thing would be to just call it Marwen. One name titles always rule...but for some reason I still have Gold unwatched on my pc for over a year.

 Re: Most anticipated 2018 release?
I think in this instance it might be better to let people know that Marwen is a place, so I prefer "welcome to...". But normally, one-word titles rule.

 Re: Most anticipated 2018 release?
Why is good to know it's a place?
Because understanding the title better would make more people to go see it?

 Re: Most anticipated 2018 release?
No, nothing to do with that. Just personal preference, I guess, because that's what the film is about...his fictional town in World War II called Marwen. Instead of thinking that Marwen is Carell's character name. It gives it a more Pleasantville feel instead of a Walter Mitty one. Like there's a place to visit here, not just someone's psyche (which actually, it's both).
