Re: Most Overrated Movies of 2017 Kingsman: The Golden Circle. How it ever scored as high as 50% on Rotten Tomatoes, I'll never know. Although on the plus side, Vaughn's original cut of the film was 3 hours and 40 minutes long - thank goodness for small blessings, because his final cut at 2 hours and 21 minutes already seemed endless.

Re: Most Overrated Movies of 2017 I don't think It deserves 85% in RT. Its good but I feel its even not close to Conjuring in terms of being an effective horror and the old-school scares.

Re: Most Overrated Movies of 2017 Dunkirk. Great camera work and sounds. Some good staging. But the plot is too deliberate it makes the characters secondary to the story. The ending is cheesy too.

Re: Most Overrated Movies of 2017 Although Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 is perhaps not the most overrated movie of 2017, it is certainly my personal pick for most disappointing movie of 2017.  (Also, I have added Thor: Ragnarok to my overrated list.)

It is still far and away better than most studio horror and honestly, to me, it's much better than the Conjuring films. Then again it was instantly a favorite horror film.

I didn't realize it was highly regarded. But yeah it was nearly awful, huge drop in quality for the series. Wonder Woman fits the bill here. The Post and Shape of Water were both 'good' but disappointing.
