 Re: Spider-Man: Homecoming
I've actually seen this for a second time and it holds up just as well as the first time I saw it. This movie is just so much damn fun that even the weak action sequences still don't bother me. I can appreciate the fact that it at least tries to be different than the past Spider-Man films and it's integration into the MCU works perfectly IMO. Anyways, I'm finally ready to rank it among the MCU and the other Spider-Man films.
LISTS:
The Avengers The Winter Soldier Iron Man Civil War Guardians
Spider-Man Homecoming Doctor Strange The Incredible Hulk The First Avenger Age of Ultron
Guardians 2 Thor 2 Thor Iron Man 3 Ant-Man
Iron Man 2
and
Spider-Man 2 Homecoming Spider-Man The Amazing Spider-Man The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Spider-Man 3

 Re: Spider-Man: Homecoming
I haven't been this bored at a movie in ages - Spider-Man: Homecoming is tediousness incarnate. Such a waste of Michael Keaton and Marisa Tomei's talent. *D*

Spider-Man: Homecoming
They keep making Spider-Man films better and better. This is the best one yet, and is probably my favourite film of the MCU. Extremely fun, and funny, and full of action and loads of awesome tie-ins to the Marvel universe. The Washington Memorial sequence gave me sweaty palms. Holland is the perfect Peter Parker. He is instantly warming and someone that I could easily support. Michael Keaton rules. Laura Harrier is a bonafide babe. Marisa Tomei is an AILF! 52-years-old and still a hottie. The film is just a blast from start to finish.

Watched this again, holds up well, Michael Keaton is the X-Factor that sends it over the top to very good from just plain good

 Re: Spider-Man: Homecoming
The new Spiderman film is plenty of fun, but it also grew a bit tired on me by the end. Tom Holland does well as a more boyish Peter Parker/ Spiderman, overall it feels better than Garfield's interpretation for it. Michael Keaton is also great as Vulture, and Iron Man/ Tony Stark has the right amount of screen time. The high school cast is fun and everything about the film pretty much is, Jon Favreau and Spiderman's interaction with his suit offer more comedic relief too. I just could have had a bit less of film and I think I would have enjoyed myself more. I didn't care too much for the Washington monument and ferry action scenes, it felt like things I've seen in Spiderman films before. I didn't find it much thrilling or exciting, but good and fun film all around.

 Re: Spider-Man: Homecoming
It’s very good, but nothing about it really stands out. The villain is above average. And it’s sort of about gun control? So it has something on its mind. But I’m still not convinced it was worth it to have another solo Spidey franchise. Just stick him in Infinity War and that would be enough.

 Re: Spider-Man: Homecoming
While I still think this is the best Spider-man film, it doesn't help there were already 5 films.
Ultimately the most important thing about this film, and let's be honest is extremely important, is that studio cooperation/ property rights are hopefully going in the right direction. It's a super fun and most importantly successful film that is paving the roads even more than Deadpool and Logan. If Fox and Disney can reach an agreement, that's pretty much the endgame there. Superhero films have always been limited by this issue. Now that it's getting looser and interesting creative minds are behind. It's building to a very exciting future.

 Re: Spider-Man: Homecoming
Even though superhero movies aren't my thing I've enjoyed most of the Spider-Man films and this looked pretty good. Plus I enjoy a good teen/high school movie which I'd kind of heard this was. So since it was cheap enough on Black Friday I just blind bought the Blu-ray. Finally watched it and have to say I was extremely bored by it. For one being that it's now Marvel it's connected to the MCU and being that I don't watch the movies that are part of the MCU I was kind of confused. Especially in the beginning. It's also way overlong. I thought it was almost over at one point and then saw I still had an hour and 13 minutes left. It's not that it's a bad film. It's just not something I'm generally into. Was a chore to get through. I think the only other MCU films I've seen were the first Iron Man and Thor, both of which were better. My ratings for the Spider-Man films: Spider-Man - 9/10 (A) --- I haven't seen this in years though so who knows how that would hold up Spider-Man 2 - 8/10 (B+) Spider-Man 3 - 7/10 (B-) The Amazing Spider-Man - 8/10 (B+) The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - N/A (Honestly remember nothing from this except Stone's character dying) Spider-Man: Homecoming - 5/10 ( C )

 Re: Spider-Man: Homecoming
As far as Spider-Man movies goes this was refreshing take but it does not break new grounds that we haven't already seen. Having Iron Man in this movie works very well and expands the story for both the characters and not just one. The villain here is great and the finale is decent. Most of the action scenes here look very similar to the ones we have seen in the past.
