 Re: Logan

 Re: Logan
Sure. Difference of opinion. I accept that. It doesn't need to turn into an argument, old sport. You can discuss and share your opinion without getting all defensive, saying "IT'S MY OPINION!!!" and slamming the proverbial door behind you.

 Re: Logan
Logan is a low key story about the death of superheroes. How often are you going to see a movie about that? It is all filmed with gravitas - too much gravitas in my opinion. Almost all traces of superhero movie fun were erased from this production. As this long stately tragedy played out, I was left with lots of time to ask myself why? Why not give these two X-icons a slam-bang finale saving the universe? Why am I not having a good time at the movies this afternoon? Why is Logan so dull? Although Hugh Jackman makes the most of the dreary script, this is a movie I will never watch again. *C+*

 Re: Logan
This was a bit disappointing. The action was fun, but there's not much context given at the start of the film so it's hard to understand what's going on at first. I find it hard to believe still that this is the last we've seen if Jackman or Stewart.

What's not to get? This is zwackerm. He is much less a Joe Popcorn-type than Sparrow and Chippy.

High horse? There's nothing wrong with being a Joe Popcorn-type. You're the one putting a negative cloud over it. I'm just saying that zwackerm is not a movie-going type like you and Chippy, therefore it isn't a surprise that he didn't jizz all over the screen when watching Logan.

Anything can happen in the comic-book-movie universe, so I understand zwackerm's skepticism.

Gradual poisoning from the Adamantium in his body.

 Re: Logan
Ah, perhaps I should rewatch this with that in mind. My initial thoughts are that it is bleak and very well acted superhero film, something of a drama and refreshing take on the genre, but I was not wowed. Maybe I was tired, but like A-

The poisoning of the adamantium over the course of time (That might be the most confusing part of the film, he says he knows what it is, but we don't know why). There wasn't any confusion for me really about that, but also it indeed wasn't really fleshed out and there's a lot of stuff going on in the film as well I thought, so if anyone didn't catch on to it so vividly, I could see that.

This movie is really overrated. It's not bad, but it's really long and slow in parts, and the story isn't very interesting.
