Re: 13th WOKJ MP Awards - Nominations announcement LIVE!
David wrote: I may have screwed it over a bit in best original song because "Drive It Like You Stole It" is my least favorite song from the movie. I nominated "The Riddle of the Model." Mine too and I nominated "Drive it" too, courtesy of not seeing La La Land yet maybe. Best Original Song 1. The Riddle of the Model (Sing Street) 2. Drive It Like You Stole It (Sing Street) 3. Incredible Thoughts (Popstar) 4. Try Everything (Zootopia) 5. Sledgehammer (Rihanna)

Since Arrival didn't get nominated for "Best Foreign Language Film", please consider voting for it to win Best Art Direction: How Arrival’s Production Designer Created an Alien Language

I actually had a lot of trouble coming up with a #1 score, which is usually one of the easier ones.
Nice Guys for most overlooked please.

Re: 13th WOKJ Motion Picture Awards - Nominations announced
My Ballot; I should have been able to see more films, but nonetheless I think all my noms are deserving. Best Picture (only five nominees here) 1. Allied 2. Sing Street 3. The Girl on the Train 4. Sully 5. War Dogs
Best Director 1. Robert Zemeckis (Allied) 2. John Carney (Sing Street) 3. Tate Taylor (The Girl on the Train) 4. Clint Eastwood (Sully) 5. Todd Phillips (War Dogs)
Best Actor 1. Brad Pitt (Allied) 2. Tom Hanks (Sully) 3. Jonah Hill (War Dogs) 4. Nicolas Cage (The Trust) 5. Mel Gibson (Blood Father)
Best Actress 1. Marion Cotillard (Allied) 2. Emily Blunt (The Girl on The Train) 3. Mary Elizabeth Winstead (10 Cloverfield Lane) 4. Blake Lively (The Shallows) 5. Alicia Vikander (Jason Bourne)
Best Supporting Actor 1. Aaron Eckhart (Sully) 2. Miles Teller (War Dogs) 3. Karl Urban (Star Trek Beyond) 4. John Goodman (10 Cloverfield Lane) 5. Joel Edgerton (Midnight Special)
Best Supporting Actress 1. Haley Bennett (The Girl on The Train) 2. Sofia Boutella (Star Trek Beyond) 3. Gal Gadot (Criminal) 4. Teresa Palmer (Hacksaw Ridge) 5. Olivia Munn (X-Men: Apocalypse)
Best Ensemble 1. Sing Street 2. The Nice Guys 3. Midnight Special 4. Triple 9 5. Solace
Best Original Screenplay 1. The Nice Guys 2. Allied 3. 10 Cloverfield Lane 4. The Trust 5. Midnight Special
Best Adapted Screenplay 1. The Girl on the Train 2. War Dogs 3. Arrival 4. Dr. Strange 5. Deepwater Horizon
Best Animated Feature 1. Sausage Party 2. Zootopia 3. Kubo and the Two Strings (only saw it half-way, this is where I currently rank it at this point, you can omit it all together if you like) 4. Angry Birds 5. Secret Life of Pets
Best Cinematography 1. Allied 2. The Girl on the Train 3. Arrival 4. Midnight Special 5. Blood Father
Best Editing 1. Allied 2. Sully 3. War Dogs 4. The Shallows 5. Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping
Best Original Score 1. Sing Street 2. War Dogs 3. The Trust 4. Midnight Special 5. Allied
Best Original Song 1. The Riddle of the Model (Sing Street) 2. Drive It Like You Stole It (Sing Street) 3. Incredible Thoughts (Popstar) 4. Try Everything (Zootopia) 5. Sledgehammer (Rihanna)
Best Makeup 1. Sing Street 2. The Neon Demon 3. Hacksaw Ridge 4. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children 5. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
Best Visual Effects 1. Passengers 2. Star Trek Beyond 3. Allied 4. Sully 5. Captain America: Civil War
Best Art Direction 1. The Nice Guys 2. Sing Street 3. Allied 4. The Girl on the Train 5. The Neon Demon
Best Costume Design 1. Sing Street 2. Allied 3. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children 4. The Nice Guys 5. The Girl on the Train
Breakthrough of the Year (before or behind the camera) 1. Benjamin Brewer (The Trust) 2. Haley Bennett (The Girl on The Train) 3. Teresa Palmer (Hacksaw Ridge, Triple 9) 4. Dan Fogler (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) 5. Dennis Gansel (Mechanic: Resurrection)
Best Sound 1. Allied 2. Arrival 3. In a Valley of Violence 4. The Neon Demon 5. Sing Street
Funniest Comedy of the Year 1. The Nice Guys 2. Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping 3. Sausage Party 4. War Dogs 5. Deadpool Allied would be most overlooked for me. It's a much better war film than Hacksaw too. Sully is a lot better than people give it credit for too, but it seems Eastwood and Hanks have set a too high standard for themselves. Though I'm glad to admit that Hanks' Bridge of Spies is superior, one of the most overlooked last year and Eastwood's American Sniper is at least as good as Sully too. Nice Guys at least got the Comedy nod and should win it I hope, but it was definitely snubbed for screenplay and art direction. CowboyFromHell wrote: Tallulah most overlooked. Cool, I'll check it out.

Re: 13th WOKJ Motion Picture Awards - Nominations announced
So I've gone through all the nominations and the only ones that will be difficult for me to decide is Best Picture and Best Score. The rest are pretty straightforward.
Emily Blunt being nominated for Best Actress for Girl on the Train is hilarious.
