These are exactly the areas in which most Indian students are really lacking.

One of our primary goals is to bring practice-based education with fully rounded participation in sports, arts and foreign languages. Generally, education in India is too theoretical. We would like to emphasize practical education geared towards succeeding in life, not just acing exams. You would be a perfect fit.

@ Ripper: It would be great to have you on the team also.

I was a nationally ranked pentathlete in highschool too, so let me know if you need physical education people also! Though no cricket...I have zero idea about that game.

This is awesome. We even have somebody who knows portugese.

You all would make a kick-ass team.

I will be heading out to India in June to kickstart things. We have all kinds of political clout, but still they will make us jump through hoops to get the permission to start the school, building and as such. bABA knows how it works.

BTW, the city is Mysore aka City of Palaces (p. 1.5 mil). It is located in the state of Karnataka and 87 miles from the silicon capital of India, Bangalore (p. 8 mil). I'm sure at some point all of you would have talked to somebody from Bangalore on the phone for credit cards, computers, software etc. You can search more on google.

Here is one link

I figured that out.

I have some very good friends from South India, they assure me there is a huge difference in being from South or North India.

Practically my entire family is teachers (dad, mom, brother, wife, 2 sister-in-laws, a few uncles & aunts, etc...). None have ever gone abroad to teach.

And, I'm not aware of any teachers in this area that go oversees to teach. They usually get 2 1/2 months off in the Summer, and none can take a sabbatical for a year without losing their job unless it is for a medical reason. I guess some could try to fit it in on the 2 1/2 month break, but most teachers I know are sick of it by then and wouldn't want to travel to teach some more.

Why didn't you become a teacher tony? The pedophilia got in the way?

He couldn't understand why you weren't allowed to hit kids upside the head when they fail a test.

Kids are easier to beat then a criminal.

Exactly! I'm more of a "hands on" individual. When you're a teacher they tend to frown on beating the kids or spraying them with a little mace. It takes all of the fun out of the job.

The teachers fuck them up, and I straighten them out.
