I'll wait for a trailer. It won't be able to play on nostalgia this time, so they'll have to have an actual angle with the marketing beyond "Star Wars is fucking back."

I think this could be bigger than Episide VII, so I'm in. Episode VII has just received such a warm welcome, and they can really take the story to a higher level without the need to re-establish the setting that this could make for even bigger, better space adventure times than the last one.

Luke was in VII though. And I don't think he's as popular as Han.
Still, it won't go under 750 million.

Well... I think it's fair to say that if Leia has even a moderate role in this film, this is going to hit hard for the fans of this series. We could see a Furious 7 effect.

It's macabre to think about -- Fisher was amazingly smart, so much more than Leia -- but yeah. At the very least, I think Episode VIII can out-open VII. Especially if word gets out that Leia uses the Force to wreck some fools. Although who knows if that will even make it into the movie now.

Just as Nolan edited nothing of Ledgers, it would be retarded to alter Leias final screen appearance

No. The Death effect worked for TDK and F7 because those franchises hadn't hit their peak audience. Ep 8 could approach Ep7, but no way it hits a fucking billion.

You assume Ep7 was the peak of Star Wars.

If it makes $1 billion because of Fisher, James Cameron will have the entire cast of Avatar 2 assassinated before the film's release.
