 December 30-January 1 predictions
The main question is - will Rogue One increase or at least drop less than 10%?

Rogue One will have to make all the money it can before box office titan, Underworld: Blood Wars, opens on 6th January.

I wouldn't be surprised if Underworld barely registers on the BO. Something like $10m OW.

 Re: December 30-January 1 predictions
Normally I'd agree, but the first January weekend is a weird one. Even The Woman in Black 2 somehow opened to $15 million on that weekend and there could hardly be a less anticipated horror sequel. So Blood Wars can perform similarly, finishing below $30 million.

Even by the standard of give-it-a-qualifying-run-to-satisfy-the-star releases, Gold's year-end L.A. launch feels extremely unheralded and halfhearted.

I hate how nothing ever opens/expands much on this weekend. It's always so boring.

I understand, but it sucks when there's not much you're actually interested in playing. Not really the case for me this year but some years it is.

 Re: December 30-January 1 predictions
It is a lock to be well over 400 million by Jan 2nd (likely more near 420 million)
500 million is all but assured.
