I'd probably go with One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, with Green Eggs and Ham a close 2nd.

 Re: Favorite Dr. Seuss book?
Neither have I, but I've seen films and cartoons. I just took it as "which story is your favourite?".

 Re: Favorite Dr. Seuss book?
Actually, I think I did read Green Eggs and Ham. It's only a slim children's book.

 Re: Favorite Dr. Seuss book?
In that case, I've somewhat seen How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Didn't warm to it, so even as the only story I know it's not worth a vote.

Green Eggs and Ham. It's the only one I recall reading outside of The Cat in the Hat.

People who've never read a Dr. Seuss book: did you pop out of the womb fully grown? Surely everyone's parents read them at least one Dr. Seuss.

they were born with very unloving parents, as you can tell from their personalities.

 Re: Favorite Dr. Seuss book?
I think Dr. Seuss is primarily an American thing. Not unheard of outside of it, but not nearly as popular. People outside of the US do write books, and many of them are even aimed at kids. I was an incredibly avid reader as a kid, having learned how to fairly young, but I never came across a Dr. Seuss book.

 Re: Favorite Dr. Seuss book?
Before the films, Dr. Seuss was unknown in the UK. It is an American thing, and also quite annoying. In the UK we have our own children's books, which were obviously better because now Hollywood cannot stop making them into movies.

 Re: Favorite Dr. Seuss book?
They are all pretty much the same to me. I did play Yertle the Turtle and the Mayor of Whoville in Seussical so I did read them a lot more closely as an adult.
But man, Cat in the Hat is the standard pretty much. I'm with Chippy on Green eggs and ham though. That might be the first precursor of an interactive book.

 Re: Favorite Dr. Seuss book?
PS anyone ever add green food dye to eggs to do it? I did it twice as a kid. I'm tempted to try it again
