 Re: Marvel/DC/Comic Book Movie Discussion
ok so...
When twitter noticed Rick Famuyiwa started following a bunch of DC people, they also noted that he followed Channing Tatum.
Now, the director of Gambit has moved on to a different project...
So who will Channing Tatum be playing in the DCEU?

 Re: Marvel/DC/Comic Book Movie Discussion
ok so, Justice League started filming in early April, they just flew out a handful of bloggers for a set visit which will get articles/reactions tomorrow morning, and I believe they'll still be filming in August...
Five months seems like a long movie shoot, even for a movie this size.

 Re: Marvel/DC/Comic Book Movie Discussion
http://www.avclub.com/article/marvel-mi ... vie-240377Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1 is now just Avengers: Infinity War. Wonder what they're doing with Part 2 now. I always thought it would be epic if a studio released a Part 1 / Part 2 at the same time - I think that would go a long way of eliminating frustration people have with the split up movies nowadays. You still have to pay for 2 movies, but you don't have to wait forever at least.

 Re: Marvel/DC/Comic Book Movie Discussion
Yeah I'm pretty sure they mentioned they wanted to avoid presenting audiences with two half movies. the films will be stand alone but obviously share the same story arc.

 Re: Marvel/DC/Comic Book Movie Discussion
They could still call the second "Part Two". The first would have already succeeded by then.
Other franchises do it: John Wick, Insidious etc.

So WB is actively planning a MOS sequel. What director do we want for it?

 Re: Marvel/DC/Comic Book Movie Discussion
Snyder. Not only did he do an excellent job with Man of Steel, but for continuity's sake, it needs to be him. The tone and aesthetic need to match, just as Batman and Batman Returns did.

Black Manta is the supposed villain in James Wan's Aquaman.

 Re: Marvel/DC/Comic Book Movie Discussion
They should just get a capable studio director for MOSII, seems all these recent films are flopping because the director's artistic vision isn't coming along well. Baltasar Kormákur would be a good choice.

I thought the studio was interfering, and with that the finished product is neither one vision or the other, but a hybrid, and therefore a fail. I think Snyder had control over Man of Steel, and that turned out well. But I feel he was given pointers by the studio for BvS, and that failed.

Studio doesn't tell cinematographer how to film, actors how to act etc. So if BvS and SS ultimately failed than that's in large part due to the crew of the movie. But studio definitely didn't help. Especially if they knew things are going bad and wanted to save everything with a few reshoots and altered cut. That never helps.
