So they pretty much killed the best dude on Sesame Street
So yea ... if you haven't heard already, Cookie Monster is now on diet. Because kids in this side of the world are getting fat and cookie monster shall now advocate cookies .... but sometimes only.
It's a sad day.

Rogue ran an article on this a few days ago.
Anyone remember the "Got Milk" commercial that had Cookie Monster surrounded by cookies but he looked all sad and forlorn because he didn't want to eat them without a glass of milk? Very sad add, not Cookie Monster has been forced into this permanent state of existance.
Damn, there goes my nickname.

more sad news. Elmo will encourage exercise.
Now in my day when Elmo was a side character, all he ever did was sit in one place and be a lazy ass.

How about Ernie & Bert? Two single roomates that have been living together for over 35 years now so there must be something going on between them. What kind of message does that send to the kids???

yes but this one plays into Sesame Street's hands. Since gay couples have becomes more acceptable, nothing really needs to be changed. Sad really.

Ridiculous.
How about parents stop stocking their cabinets with garbage. It's also not as if 5 year old's can drive to McDonalds to Supersize.
I mean seriously. Parents stock their house with nothing but pure garbage. Then complain their kids are overweight? Hello. This is what happens when you shop at the Hostess Outlet. These are the same parents that probably think fruit snacks are healthy because they have like 1% of Vitamin C. Fruit Snacks are candy loaded with refined sugar, nothing more.
Some common sense seriously needs to be used here.
P.S. How is Cookie Monster going off cookies going to improve things in any way to begin with? Are parents this lame that they actually need the cookie monster to tell them to give their kids a vegetable once in awhile?
Wow.
Obesity is going up, up, up by the year. Back in the 70's when cookie monster ate all the cookies he wanted, obesity was lower. So, the cookie monster is obviously not the problem here.

I don't appreciate that condescending tone.
Oscar's behavior has clearly lead to a rise in children under the age of five living in trash cans.

Instead of putting him on a diet, they should have just made the Cookie Monster enormously fat to show the kids what happens when you eat cookies.

When I was younger, the issue was violence in cartoons. Thanks to cartoons, kids all over America were dropping anvils on each other's heads. Thank God someone came along to censor the entertainment.

I thought Oscar's behavior encourages kids not to clean their room?
