 Biggest Snub
Out of these high profile, but divisive actors, who deserved to beat the British guy the most?
And yes Alan Arkin and Sean Penn will be British until the end of this discussion.
For me it is still Mickey. He owned that movie. And quite frankly Sean Penn was just a good actor in a great role that year.

 Re: Biggest Snub
You forgot the most notorious example of this, albeit in a different gender: Widely assumed "lock" Lauren Bacall losing Best Supporting Actress to Juliette Binoche in 1996.

 Re: Biggest Snub
Michael Keaton wasn't a snub. Once Redmayne won the guild, wasn't he expected to win?

 Re: Biggest Snub
I'd have to go with Rourke for this.
But Stallone's loss was a punch to the gut. Rylance was good but not unbeatable. On paper Rylance was probably still the most likely to win but it looked like Stallone had the momentum.

 Re: Biggest Snub
Considering the love Birdman received, an acting heavy film, for it's lead actor, who carried the film, to not win seemed almost insulting.

 Re: Biggest Snub
Rourke of those choices, but I think Fassbender might have gotten snubbed the most, yea I know everyone wanted Leo to win, but he wasn't as good. DiCaprio over McConaughey would have solved a lot

 Re: Biggest Snub
Stallone was robbed, no doubt. Anytime someone poises an absolute forerunner since Bridges over Clooney and then to just not is awful. I understand Norbit killing Murphy. Stallone went out of his way to end any action possibilities. He played the game to all and just lost to an off performance in a film no one will ever remember
