Or is it because Loyal predicted it and the rest just copied? Because Shok and Stutterer clearly seem to have a better shot to me. When it comes to this category, never bet against Isreal, remember West Bank Story.

 Re: Predict The Winners
Spotlight- Picture, Original screenplay and editing Revenant- Director, actor, cinematography , set design Mad max- many techs, excluding maybe one sound award for Star Wars
Brie, Rylance and Vikander will take the acting awards, although I suspect many people will be voting for Vikander's performance in Ex Machina as well. Enrio will win score.

I am seriously tempted to officially predict Spotlight for Best Picture. Gut feeling over the last few days.

Best Picture The Revenant
Best Director Alejandro G. Inaritu - The Revenant
Best Actor Leonardo DiCaprio - The Revenant
Best Actress Brie Larson - Room
Best Supporting Actor Sylvester Stallone - Creed
Best Supporting Actress Alicia Vikander - The Danish Girl
Best Adapted Screenplay The Big Short
Best Original Screenplay Spotlight
Best Animated Feature Inside Out
Best Animated Short Bear Story (flat-out guessing here; Pixar usually doesn't win this category)
Best Cinematography The Revenant
Best Costume Design Mad Max: Fury Road (this is the one in which I'm least confident; wins for Cinderella or The Danish Girl wouldn't shock me in the slightest)
Best Documentary Feature Amy
Best Documentary - Short Subject Body Team 12
Best Film Editing The Big Short
Best Foreign Language Feature Son of Saul
Best Live Action Short Film Stutterer
Best Makeup & Hairstyling Mad Max: Fury Road
Best Original Score The Hateful Eight
Best Original Song "'Til It Happens to You" - The Hunting Ground
Best Production Design Mad Max: Fury Road
Best Sound Editing The Revenant
Best Sound Mixing The Revenant (though I'm very tempted to hedge my bet and predict a split that won't happen; it's going to be VERY close with Mad Max)
Best Visual Effects Star Wars: The Force Awakens

 Re: Predict The Winners
Having not seen a lot of the nominated films, I don't have a huge attachment to many of the noms. Still, I'll be happy for Leo when he wins because I've liked him in so many roles. Also, I'm really hoping for Inside Out (obviously BAF, but may also screenplay?), Cinderella, and Star Wars (maybe steal some tech awards from Mad Max) to win some awards. Those are 3 I really loved. I didn't see Danish Girl, but Alicia was great in Ex Machina, so I hope she wins.

 Re: Predict The Winners
No time to type up my predictions again, but they are all here: http://www.filmfutter.com/oscars-2015-tipps/ tl/dr: Mad Max winning most, The Revenant getting BP/BD/Actor/Cinematography and Star Wars will buck the trend of BP-nominated fiilms winning VFX and win for its effects.

 Re: Predict The Winners
I think I only got 11/24. I went revenant tech heavy and that turned out terrible.

 Re: Predict The Winners
I got 16/24 - that is definitely below average for me. I messed up on the supporting categories, predicting Winslet to upset in Best Supporting Actress, when it ended up being Rylance upsetting in Best Supporting Actor. Whoops! I'm proud of my correct prediction of Spotlight for Best Picture though. I'm glad I trusted my gut. Peace, Mike
