I am not surprised. You could see from the nominations how little passion The Revenant had at WOKJ. So, yeah, to me it was not an upset.

I do not begrudge him his inevitable Oscar win, but I easily prefer other DiCaprio performances, such as What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Catch Me If You Can, and The Aviator. The Revenant is definitely not a career-best turn for him, in my opinion.

Though I am happy that he would finally win it.
