 DGA Nominations 2015
It's looking pretty set to me:
Alejandro Gonzalez Inaritu Thomas McCarthy Adam McKay George Miller Ridley Scott

I still don't believe in Adam McKay. I think these will mirror the Globes and nominate Haynes.

 Re: DGA Awards 2015 Discussion
Honestly, if McKay makes it here, The Big Short is certainly the #2 contender in the race, maybe even #1.

 Re: DGA Awards 2015 Discussion
Haynes wasn't nominated for Far From Heaven here either. FFH performed poorly at guilds in general, missing SAG-Ensemble/PGA/DGA/ADG, and Carol is starting to trend that way. Would not be surprised if Carol ends up with just one nom like FFH did.

 Re: DGA Awards 2015 Discussion
The only people I feel are certain are Miller, Scott, and Inaritu. Those other two spots are up for grabs between like six guys.

I like McCarthy, Miller, Scott, Innaritu and McKay lineup, but can see any of Spielberg, Haynes, Abrahamson, and even F. Gary Gray as a darkhorse

Sorry, Far From Heaven got 4 Oscar noms, not 1. Another mix-up from me.

Inarritu Miller Spielberg Scott
Not sure who to pick for #5. McCarthy, McKay, Haynes, Abrams, Gray, Abrahamson...

 Re: DGA Awards 2015 Discussion
Nominees will be announced in two hours or so.
I'm throwing in Abrams as my #5 because the high number of low-level tv people (UPMs, ADs) in the DGA and JJ's long history in television. Assuming enough people saw TFA during the nomination window (12/2-1/11), it could squeak in.

 Re: DGA Awards 2015 Discussion
It'll be funny if they produce some lineup like McCarthy/McKay/Haynes/Scott/Spielberg. I don't really feel anybody is safe in this category, including Innaritu.

This is actually completely free from any surprises. *sigh of relief* Finally some sense in the Oscar race.

 Re: DGA Nominations 2015
These should almost certainly be the Oscar nominees as well, with Haynes lurking around to replace either McKay or McCarthy, but still not too likely.

Yep, still the top 5 contenders we're looking at, with Spies 6th, Carol 7th.

Spotlight lives, yas queen!
Also, I feel pretty comfortable this is the top 5 in the Best Picture race.

At least Loyal will finally stop doubting McCarthy's and McKay's chances in this.

 Re: DGA Nominations 2015
Now wait for the Oscars to nominate Haynes, F. Gary Gray and Denis Villeneuve.
