 Re: SW7 Sunday predictions
WOW Disney seriously went to conservative with their projection. It's a freaking $10-13M underestimation.

Even if Sunday comes it at "just" $59M, there's no way Disney is letting the weekend not get fudged over 250.

 Re: SW7 Sunday predictions
Possibly 3 consecutive 60M days after a 57M preview gross.
Christmas Day presales were ahead of all days except Thursday & Friday, and there's still 5 days to go to add more. Total presales were at least 100M by Monday/Tuesday last week (saw someone on BOT say CBS report $139M, but I never confirmed). At that time of the 100M, only 50-60% of presales were for Opening Weekend.
How high can next Friday go?

Funny, if RTH is right, just the additional $10-13m would be on the same level as the other two openers this weekend...

LOL, if it actually hits $250 million, then I will start believing in a $900+ million domestic total.

Star Wars even brought you and baumer back for the moment. At this rate, it will soon start curing cancer. I assume ISIS will cease all activities in their efforts to track down pirated copies of the film.

that would be about rotj/esb with all their re-releases adjusted for inflation + 3d surcharge. that's more than we could have ever asked for.

With all the sellouts it was bound not to drop much Sunday. Disney's projection was insane.

Magnus wrote: also, the 11m+ under-estimate for Sunday has to be the biggest under-estimate for a single day right? I can't recall a film being under-estimated by more than that. The overall weekend underestimation is the biggest of all time, more than $2M ahead of Passion. So yeah, I think it's safe to say the answer is yes.
