Re: Weekend Estimates
What is the likelihood Disney keeps the 238 number? They stuck with 102.5 Friday so is there a chance it remains 238?

Re: Weekend Estimates
Mad Max simply does not deserve the effects Oscar. It should probably go to The Walk (but it won't), but I'd rather have it go to TFA or The Martian than MM.

Kind of like MATRIX beat TPM... I think this is what's happening. I know people keep talking about a Best Picture nod for Star Wars, but I think it's gonna go the way of Star Trek in 2009, and Mad Max will have the Picture/Directing nominations and triumph in the tech awards. The Matrix comparison is interesting. Whether Mad Max deserves all the praise it gets and all the awards is one thing...but how come The Matrix didn't do nearly as well when it was released back in 1999? It was a milestone in its own right. As for Star Wars. When was the last time the highest-grossing film ever won zero Oscars? Titanic, E.T., Star Wars, Jaws, The Sound of Music and Gone with the Wind are all obviosuly better films than TFA.

the sound of music is an awful piece of shit. if this is performed in your school, you could play the part of the "sixteen going on seventeen" girl, zwackerm: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYf_TaNUOvk

Re: Weekend Estimates
TFA is easily the most forgettable SW film. Even each of the prequels had almost all memorable sequences. Memorable sequences here are few and far in between. #teamDueloftheFates.

Re: Weekend Estimates
Everyone will agree this is a good, not great movie in a few weeks, once they've had time to reflect. Similar to what happened to the Phantom Menace.

Re: Weekend Estimates
Whoops, looking back to the review thread, I actually gave it an A. I just wanted to stand by what I said before. But now I will give it an A instead of A+.
The other 5 are A+ though. TFA still A-.
