What's replacing The West Wing next week, now that the season is over? Maybe now Alias can rebound a bit better without going neck and neck with West Wing, both against Idol.

Just going by what MediaWeek said. It's not like I watch that show.

Nice, damn good for Lost. I still find it more then mildly painful that Survivor gets more viewers then it does, but it's doing awesome nonetheless.

The Democrats picked their nominee for the Presedential election in November, after a very good episode it was Matt Santos (Jimmy Smitts) and his Vice President would be Leo McGarry (John Spencer)

Then what was Alan Alda doing on the show?

Well, from Tvtracker, overnights report that LOST had 16.5 million viewers, that's a bit over a million down from last week, which in my view is a pretty big diappointment considering this was the most "important" episode yet. Another hiatus will not benefit it either.

Well there's not really a way to gain viewers. People miss more and more episodes then get so far behind they stop watching. Hopefully the replay the whole season IN ORDER this summer.

I can see why they're showing these reruns, though. The ones they pick specifically have something to do in the next new episode. Homecoming and Special both have something interesting about Locke in them if I recall and through the preview Locke seemed to have a big role in the new episode.

Aww man, that means Alan Alda won't be on the show permanently? I would have watched if he was on there, but I don't like Jimmy Smits all that much. Does this mean a whole new cast? I never followed the show, so I don't know if the characters are to be replaced or not. If so, adios Allison Janney. I'm kind of sick of her winning every Emmy, with the exception of last year.

I haven't watched in a long while for the same reason you said above. I saw the first 5 episodes, then missed the next two or three and when I went back to watch I was so lost that I just gave up on the show. I'll wait until they show reruns [in order], or just wait for the DVD before I catch up again.

Alan Alda will reprise his role as Republic nominee Vinnick in the Seventh season. I haven't looked into if he or Smitts is going to win the presidency, but both should be on the show for the better part of the first half of the Season 7.
