Re: STAR WARS VII First Week > MOCKINGJAY PART 2 Total Club I think people are really forgetting that this won't do $85m like JW did because of Summer plus SW also has 24th as its Thursday which will only make it difficult for it to reach this mark. Avatar was VERY leggy and it made "only" $60m over first 4 weekdays. I know that didn't open big enough but given its second weekend hold and weather conditions you can say that people who didn't catch it over OW were eager to see it over the coming weekdays. Avatar had lesser IMAX and 3D screens but its 3D percentage was MUCH higher and I don't think SW7 will be that heavy on 3D so that would make up the difference.
I cannot see SW7 making more than $65m over the weekdays (bigger than Avatar), though it could easily go less than that. Unless people are predicting $220m-$230m OW for SW7 getting close to MJ2's supposedly $285m-$295m total will not happen.
I am thinking $185-$195m opening with $65m weekdays for $250m-$260m opening week total.
