That's normal. Take a look at Jurassic World's teaser versus the later trailers. Likewise with Ultron and others.

Normal? This had built in hype, was played on a national broadcast and had a specific date/time when it was released. It should not be being viewed less than the previous trailers.

17 million people watched it on ESPN.

How many of those would have just been watching ESPN regardless? 15 mil? 10?

A lot of them probably rewatched it after. Probably half, I would bet.

Ratings spiked when the trailer debuted.

So it normally averages about 14 mil viewers. For a NY/Philly game it probably would've been about 14.5 anyway. So it added 2.5 mil viewers.

So the other 14 million people who saw the trailer don't count. How interesting.

We're off on a tangent anyway. Of course it'll end up with less views than the second trailer -- that's literally always the case. I would seriously challenge you to find an exception to that rule.

(Because it's 8:30 and I'm too sleepy to look myself.)

I didn't say they didn't count. But there's no way to quantify how many of those 14 mil would've went to watch the trailer online. Maybe half?

Who knows? I tend to think most of those people aren't hardcore nerds like we are, and are probably content with seeing a trailer once.

But like I said, this is a tangent in the first place. Whether none of them saw the trailer online after or all of them did, the third trailer for a movie always gets less views than the second. AGE OF ULTRON and JURASSIC WORLD especially had big dips.

According to all you fanboys, this was the FIRST trailer.

Yes, correct. The other 2 were teasers. Though the 2nd teaser was long enough to qualify as a trailer.

No, I'm not. Read it all over this site. "we need the first real trailer" etc etc etc. Unless that wasn't the feeling all over the fanboy-dom. I'm sure there will be backtracking now that the "general" consensus is that the previous trailer was better.

Anyone with a brain can easily see that the newest trailer is by far the best.

And you, since you seemed to like the last trailer better.

Oh well. I will try to move on with my life, despite this stinging blow.

Most people like the second trailer because of "Chewie, we're home" but that is a cheap play on nostalgia, IMO. The new trailer is far more sweeping and epic, and at least tells us something about the plot and storyline (if not much).

This trailer from 50 seconds to the end is "breyyant" #Trump. The beginning is too big of a TDKR rip off only it looke worse.

Correct. Most people do not give a fuck about Harrison Ford and Chewbaca. They act like he's Ledger's joker or even Depp's sparrow or not overused RDJ Iron man/Stark- the most iconic characters of the new decade. Nobody cares about Han Solo. that litle moment at the end was so awkward when I saw it in theaters. Nobody in the audience reacted at all.

Cool story, bro. I've seen that trailer three times in thousand-seaters and the end always brings the house down.

Now that's a cool story, I love audiences like that. Sadly, my audiences are always middle America which represents 99.9% of the movie going public & they're bored w/ Han Solo. :(

I still think this looks awesome, personally.
