Training Day rules. Too bad Fuqua has not nearly lived up to it since. I was looking forward to True Blue, but oh well.

Its not that I'm complaining, I haven't seen it. That was just a surprisingly unexpected #1 pick. Wow.

I don't know how I missed the post two entries below it...must have been blanching over Poke. I was about to ask how many little sisters you must have.

BTW, if I were to group trilogies together, as many have on their lists, The Matrix Trilogy would be #1 overall. IMO the whole is better then the parts. The way it all fits together is great. You can see that from the very beginning they were preparing for the sequels.

When I first rented Fight Club, I didn't expect much. I thought it would be a dumb action film since I didn't know much about it besides the marketing and the title. But fortunately, I thought on that day that a dumb action film fit my mood at the time. The film wasn't at all what I expected, and it of course blew me away.
I definately think it is the cleverest film I've ever seen. The funniest too. You have to see it, it's not like anything else I've ever seen.

When I first watched Fight Club, my thoughts were flowing like "not sure what this is about" - (30 mins later) - "hmm, interesting...", - (more minutes later) - "Wow!..." - ... - "WOW HOO!!!" - ... - "I need to watch it again"...

For me it was more like "wow, this is not what I expected" " this is hillarious!". It kept getting better through Fight Club, and then project mayham, and although I saw the twist coming a bit before, it was still awesome. Near the end when he was running through the streets in his underwear with the gun, it was the first time it occured to me just how much I loved the movie. Then there was the end, and I couldn't stop smiling all night.

BTW, has anyone noticed the trend among my favorite films?
They are mostly dramas with quite a few thrillers and actions films, but I've noticed one thing that most of the top have.
