5 Guys is obviously better than In N out - it is no contest so STFU - but it's also way more expensive. I like Jakes better than 5 Guys though and so does pretty much everyone else near where I live. 5 Guys is a great alternative though.

Five Guys and In N Out shouldn't really be compared anyway, IMO. In N Out is very high quality *fast food*. Five Guys is more of a gutbomb.

For me, In N Out loses in a head to head simply because the fries suck. Good burgers, though!

An in n out double is like 3.50 compared to 7 at 5 guys. 5 Guys quality is way better.

Not true at all. Shake Shack's burgers are not as good as 5 Guys, that is just absurd. Their tiny milk shakes for $6 are a massive rip off. The media is on their nuts but if you can see through, theyre not that great. I would go to 5 guys over shake shack ANY DAY of the week. No if ands o buts.

Jakes Wayback burgers and 5 guys are the best. Jakes burgers and milk shakes > everyone elses burgers and shakes, I just hate the fries theyre so bland. According to yelp, about half the jakes are awesome and half are terrible. the one near me is fantastic. It probably about the same business as our local 5 guys though its like half the size.

Im totally non biased here. Double Jake cheeseburger, order of onion rings and a big chocolate shake goes for about 11 bucks. Same deal at 5 guys or shake shack is like $15 and it isnt as good. the jakes near me is alway swamped. if youre eating at shake shack over a jakes youre missing big time.

Five Guys is getting some good press here. I will need to check them out when I go to the US. Fuck the rest.

FYI, I don't think "fast food" is solely related to the speed in which you can get your order.

I don't get 5 Guys a lot but in general I find the burgers tastier than In N Out. In N Out is good every once in a while but it's overhyped.

I've had 5 Guys french fries and they're great.

Being a vegetarian limits me, so that's why my answer was "never".

If Chipotle counts, then I eat there maybe once a month (because there isn't one near me).

What made you decide to become a vegetarian?

Well, technically I'm a pescatarian because I still eat fish.

But there are two main reasons: health and as a boycott/protest against factory farms.

Okay, but there are health advantages to read meat too and let's say you can acquire it from a farmer you personally know and who has free range cows...would you eat it?

Between Seamless and the local spots in my neighborhood, I rarely resort to fast food these days. Though I will occasionally indulge in Maccy D's at the end of a drunken night out.

I'm also firmly in the Shake Shack camp.

I do it a lot. But usually just for lunch, my job sometimes I only have 15 minutes for lunch. But I like to spread it out. Only 1 place per week.

I use to have a schedule like McDonalds, Subway, Chipotle, Chick Filet, and Friday usually a Diner. But if I'm on Location, whatever is near. Happy to be back in Jersey/NYC now, Pizza and Chinese are back in the mix.
