And the T2 teaser where they show the production line of a Terminator is great.
Yah those 2 are great & cool as hell. Ones I haven't post like the first teasers to Jurrasic Park and Independence Day are pretty damn good. As are 300, Watchmen & of course SW: The Phantom Menace

Re: Which is the best trailer ever?
I enjoyed the Rocky 4 trailer more than Cliffhanger. I just feel they showed way too much of the action sequence in the movie. They couldn't cut it in half and made a better trailer.

Re: Which is the best trailer ever?
But it's all shown too fast to really register for a spoiler. The trailer is just superbly cut and the choice of music is epic. The Rocky IV teaser is amazing too, but for different reasons. It creates anticipation without showing anything, and I always love teasers that were filmed purely for that reason.
Rambo III also has a nice trailer. It's where the knife slowly reveals itself while showing clips from the film. Get Carter's trailer is also very effective, with a great choice of music, the trailer just fills you with excitement.

What's funny is if you watch the Rambo First Blood Part II teaser, they are very similar. Looks like they shot them on the same day. Stallone just changed shorts and tied up different boots.

Some of my favorites not mentioned yet.
The original, no one ever saw a trailer this boss back in the day!

I don't know which teaser exactly you are referring to, but the one I saw is nothing a like. The Rambo 2 teaser is good, but relatively weak, compared to other, especially nothing like the Rocky 4 teaser.
Face/Off, The Fugitive and Superman are all ACE, great trailers...Psycho 2 though, not sure what's that one doing in an otherwise fabulous list.

Re: Which is the best trailer ever?
I think horror movie trailers are tough, and were especially terrible in the early 80s, but there were some really great ones like Friday the 13th part III, The Thing. I think Psycho II just is a perfect sequel trailer to what many considered the scariest film of all time. For instance, the Hannibal trailers are so weak by comparison. The, music, and just closing shot of Norman's mom's window turning on when he's out side is just so friggin cool. These are probably the only two good horror movie trailers of the entire 90s.

Re: Which is the best trailer ever?
This was the teaser. Same as the Rocky IV one, dark room, high shadows with simple lights, some fog. Stallone tying his shoes. Rocky one is obviously leagues better, but style is definitely the same between the two.

Re: Which is the best trailer ever?
Probably the best trailer for a comedy movie, since they days of like Blazing Saddles. I remember people hating the 2nd film so much and the third film just destroying the October record by like 40%. Say what you want of the movie, but it was such an effective trailer. I remember seeing some comedy and everyone laughed at the Michael Jackson joke in the trailer more than the entire film.
Also, I've made a thread for this one before. But hands down one of the coolest/ inventive teasers ever. People stuck in an Post Star Wars/ Indiana Jones era of hype don't realize how batshit crazy people went over anything. I mean, this is so cool, it's a teaser just about going into production and it's super effective.
