Meh, I hoped for Addison Timlin topless scenes.

I liked this, but it could've been better. A pretty average slasher for the most part although it's very well shot and has a few creative/effective kills.

The Town That Dreaded Sundown
I enjoyed this. It reminded me very much of Scream (although no where near as good). A few parts were scary, and the Phantom is actually a scary killer, but the film didn't linger on it as much as it should have. I haven't seen the original (I do have it though) but from the clips they showed in this one, I think I might never view it - it looks pretty cheesy. This remake isn't anything special, but it at least takes hold of itself and makes the film it wants to be, instead of being like all slasher film remakes. I loved the way that the 1976 movie was included as part of the story of this one, which makes this not only a self-aware film, but also not really a remake. It's a damn sequel. Although the film does fall into one pitfall; they show the killer and therefore do not maintain the fear. It may worked better if the Phantom Killer's identity had remained a mystery.

Oh, and the gay dogging scene's dialogue was hilarious.
