DBZ made ¥397 million last Monday-Friday. Will the upcoming Monday-Friday top that if 3 of those days are part of Golden Week?

Yes. Although during the upcoming week only the 29th of april is officially a bank holiday and will be the biggest of the week. And as it's a wednesday with its Ladies' Day discounts DBZ might not benefit as much from that day as other movies.

So then there's a good possibility that the movie could hit ¥3 billion by the end of Golden Week then?

It will easily be over 3 billion by the end of Golden Week.

Good news. So what could we be talking? ¥1.8 billion by this weekend, ¥2.4 billion before next week? ¥2.9 billion after the weekend and ¥3.2 billion by the end of Golden Week?

Last year's Conan movie made around ¥1.5 billion during Golden Week and I think both DBZ and the new Conan movie will do at least as much this year so going with those numbers I'd say probably ¥1.8-1.9 billion by this weekend, ¥2 billion by Golden Week and ¥3.5 billion if not ¥3.6 or ¥3.7 by the time it ends.

It will collapse during the following weekend though (9-10th of may), like all movies do, so don't be surprised when that happens.

Yeah I already saw what happened with Conan 2013 it had an enormous boost over Golden Week and it's weekend total increased then the weekend after it dropped 67%.

The % will keep dropping until 9 or 10 pm japanese time. Then admissions became so negligeable yesterday (a few hundred) that they'll probably stay flat. In the end we should have an increase of 35% for Conan and 30-32% for DBZ. Going with Corpse's estimates from yesterday, that would give us :

Conan : 540 million yen (38% weekend drop)
DBZ : 480-490 million yen (49-50% weekend drop)

If DBZ did even better at other chains like last week and/or if the % stays a bit higher, it could reach those 500 million yen you've been hoping for.

After the ¥420 million estimate of ours yesterday I'd take ¥480 million now.

The actuals went up 9% last week, that's probab ly not going to happen this time but ¥500 million could still happen if its lucky.

Yeah, we were a bit too conservative with our increases. 30-35% increases for both movies are quite impressive and I didn't expect them tbh.
