I don't think the opening weekend audience has grown much from the original. It'll have the slight increase from inflation but also a slight decrease (I expect) as the original's 3D share was huge and I expect this one's to be smaller.

I think an opening weekend wthinin say 10 million of the original, either way, is where its heading.

I say about 215 which is incredible.

I think the max it can get will be $210 mil. Mainly because I think we're overestimating how fucking hard it is to get that high. And to do that TWICE?! I'm expecting something closer to $190 mil. I will be surprised by anything over $210 mil.

Looks good on surface at least, although a lot of reviews do say it has the middle-chapter feeling and is not as exciting as the first one.

Reviews look to settle in the low 80-high 70's. Should neither help nor hurt the OW. though it would likely crumble in the coming weeks if it didn't have 0 competition for most of May, and it probably will still crumble.

I don't think it'll sink below eighty, although if one subscribes to the "Critics give follow-ups to a well loved movie a grace zone" theory, it maybe "really" be a high seventies/low eighties movie.

I am hearing mixed to positive WOM. Its definitely not getting anywhere close to the WOM that Avengers got.

This club will be a mega failure. Its more likely to miss 200m that come anywhere close to 250m.

Also, Matrix Reloaded is a certified fresh, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets manages an 82% on there (Nobody considers it bad, but it's probably the worst of the Harry Potter movies) and Hulk even manages a 62% rating. (though Ang Lee's name probably meant a lot)

For all the stereotypes about critics "not getting it", they're more than fair on blockbusters (With the possible exception of Pirates of the Caribbean)
