 Furious 7 (INTL) $1.5b WW
After the great pre-sales success with 50SOG, Universal will start F&F7 pre-sales this week here in Germany - I guess it won't be different in other places...
Anyway, I would consider anything less than $800m WW a disappointment - even with the unfavorable exchange rates going around...
INTL: 1: $63m 2: $109m 3: $96m 4: $208m 5: $420m 6: $550m

 Re: Furious 7 (INTL)
Where is the audience going to come from this time? I think the exchange rate will kill it from growing.

 Re: Furious 7 (INTL)
Exchange rate fluctuations totally ruin making comparisons regarding international BO over different years. Really only ticket sales or results in local currency tell a true story of each films success.

 Re: Furious 7 (INTL)
That said - I think it should grow both domestically and internationally due to the Walker factor.
$600m INTL + $270m Domestic = $850m WW

I think it will help a little for this franchise seeing that he's been a big part of it and still part of this film. And yeah China would have no idea. Whites all look the same anyway

 Re: Furious 7 (INTL)
Brick Mansions actually made $29.84 million in China - nearly 50% more than its U.S. gross. So they probably give some sort of shit about Paul Walker.

 Re: Furious 7 (INTL)
Yeah, and I knew someone would say that. But it had nothing to do with Paul Walker. $29m is nothing in China. Most American, moderately good-looking action films can get that. It only looks like such an astonishing hit because it totally flunked in the US.

 Re: Furious 7 (INTL)
I heard F7 will make 1B+ Yuan in China and it already broke OD record in Thailand. I am sure growth is asia will be HUGE. Plus it has shown good numbers almost everywhere. So I think 600M OS is possible despite horrible exchange rates.

 Re: Furious 7 (INTL)
There isn't a young person in China that won't see Furious 7, so I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't make one billion in China.
