A bunch of statistics that don't mean much as Avengers can't really compare to the other comparisons as Avengers 2 doesn't feel merely like the 'second' film in a series.

Im3 was less buzzed and hyped and opened to a massive 174 million with a reduced 3D share compared to The Avengers 1. If Im3 opened to the same 3D % it would opened to 180+ million.
Of course the 3D share of TA2 will be reduced compared to TA1 but will be as high as IM3 or higher...We have seen IM3 ability to open giganticly with less buzz.
Therefore I sort of see IM3 as a base and then think how much more is TA2 anticipated by audiences?
10%, 20%, 30% more?

As I said hype for this is broad and wide not intense.
When the movie opens early, the buzz increases dramatically and then it releases. If it is good, for people check it out leading to a backloaded weekend.
To me the target is TA opening weekend because with a diminished 3D share it would be undoubtedly the biggest opening weekend ever in tickets sold handily.

2.56 vs 2.25 multiplier
For example CF had a 2.24 multiplier.
