At this rate, how long before Disney starts doing live action re-imaginings of the Pixar movies? Is that phase 2 (2020-2030)?

looks like Pinocchio is getting the live-action treatment too. Well that's more reasonable than Dumbo. What are we gonna get next, Aristocats?

As for Mulan, they better find an Asian girl to be playing Mulan and not some mixed race or change the race. Considering how much money could potentially be made from China though I think they'll make the obvious choice.

Change the thread title to Disney live action remake thread. Fantasia's Night on Bald Mountain is next.

 Re: live-action Mulan announced
I love Fantasia (Top 20 film), and just above Rite of Spring, Night on Bald Mountain was my favorite segment from the film growing up. I'm excited for it but at the same time, it'll probably turn out pretty bad. Disney can't exactly go too dark with it.

If Emma Stone can play a Hawaiian, she can play Mulan.
