Well that eliminates Budapest. I don't think its too bad for Boyhood though, since the writing isn't why the movie is popular.

Very interested to see if Whiplash love extends to Best Adapted Screenplay. The Imitation Game seems such a dull winner for a writing award, but most sites seem to be predicting it.

Graham Moore bringing the party up a notch!
In all honesty, probably the best speech of the night.

Re: 2015 Oscars - 87th Academy Awards (Live Viewing Thread)
Interstellar's dialogue is often mixed relatively low compared to the sound F/X and score. In the name of a certain immersion. I believe Nolan has said this himself.

No, many theaters had a problem calibrating their sound systems to adapt to Interstellar's mix. It wasn't the film's fault. When I saw it in RPX I heard every line of dialog perfectly. Your theater's sound system is just shitty.

I got Birdman right and I narrowed down adapted screenplay to Imitation Game and Whiplash and picked wrong.

I thought Birdman would get directing and Boyhood would get picture, but I don't think that looks likely at this point.
