Looking at a 65% weekend drop for 50SoG?

Good for the 3 openers. All gonna be around $10 mil OW, but that's lazy work by Deadline.

Why would Spongebob be so low? Hopefully 50 can hit 10. That would be relatively solid for the openers if all are above 9 for the weekend.

That would be a rather disappointing number for Kingsman. I expected a better hold. But it would be really solid for Fifty Shades. And good for all of the openers too.

Could still be looking at a 70% drop since it should be more of a Friday movie given its audience.

That would be terrible if SpongeBob just increased 57%. And hopefully Fifty Shades can see an increase closer to 150%.

So... above or under Twilight's 26.3 second weekend for 50 Shades?

Wouldn't be surprised if The Duff continues going up tonight. 7pm show here looking very strong already.

NEED real numbers!

Im suprised seeing boxoffice.com and deadline saying hot tub2 is leading the openers
Twitter's been quiet and it was never on movietickets.com top 5 all week.
I guess I dont fully understand stoners.

Won't Fifty Shades stay fairly flat for Saturday? I think its weekend drop will be way over 70%.

Just Awful for HTTM2. Then again nobody fucking asked for a sequel in the first place. I liked the first one, but c'mon that movie came out five years ago.

Expected for Hot Tub 2. Hopefully, just hopefully, studios will learn a lesson here. But probably not because it cost next-to-nothing and they'll most likely turn a profit.

Too bad Hot Tub moved because of The Interview. Given that film's theatrical release got cut short Hot Tub would've done better there than now, probably not by that much though.

Probably by a lot, no? Christmas would have given it some much needed legs.

It still wouldn't have solved the film's main problem - that it didn't look funny.

I knew it was going to be bad when John Cusack refused to come back.

How many times has mark66 posted outside of the Box Office Bash forum?

78 times

So 99.2% of his posts are within one forum. Pretty incredible.

Solid launches for The DUFF and McFarland, USA considering the modest expectations. Hot Tub Time Machine 2 is another lame comedy sequel no one asked for and performed accordingly.

50 Shades got hacked as expected, although it could've been worse. I expected a better hold for Kingsman tbh.

Solid expansion for Still Alice.
