 BP/BD split club Join this club if you think we will have split BP/BD for third consecutive year.
I see the industry voting Birdman for BP as their favorite film, while giving Linklater the BD vote for spending 12 years on Boyhood.
another option is Birdman gets BD for more showy direction, while preferential voting system helps Boyhood for BP since Birdman is too "weird" for plurality.

Boyhood for Best Picture - Academy gets to award the 12 year process toward the overall film.
Birdman for Best Director - Because the Academy loves Birdman and this is their way of awarding the film.
