Mike's sig is ridiculously too long. Anyway you can take that poster out of your sig, mike?

I'm referring to "Mike", not MikeQ or Mike Ventrella.

I'm posting it here because if the answer is no then my next question is if mods can make some sort of rule about sig length.

I'd rather we avoid a hard rule unless necessary though.

In relation to signatures, one thing that bothers me is when it is without spaces or a picture that goes out too far to the right or the picture is too big and messes up the way the other posts are read.

in the meantime, can you guys tell us what resolutions you are all working with. Its difficult for me to spot these things as my resolution is 1280 by 1024.

I don't really care how big TEXT signatures or quote signatures are, but those wide pictures which cause all those horizontal scroll bars have GOT TO GO. (example, the Angelina Jolie sig, sorry.) It really cuts down my reading of the posts. It doesn't matter what the posters' screen resolutions are, it should be limited to the lowest resolution so that nobody gets the scrollbars. Maybe by limiting # of pixels?

BTW, something's weird about the way the pictures work in the sig. If the picture is even half of the width of my screen, I still get scroll bars. I'm getting horiz scroll bars even for this thread, so it must be Moviedude's sig doing it (it's the only sig with a pic), and that picture even isn't all that wide... :???:

Sommie -- your sig is alright, it's half the length of Mike's.

The real thing about Mike's is that his has a giant poster in it. If he's just remove the Mean Creek poster it wouldn't be a pain.

Nothing has changed though, his sig is still same as it was 24 hours ago.

If you guys want, i can make a sig with the Mean Creek poster for Mike and he could replace it with that?

mike has checked my message. If someone wants to help him make another poster, thats fine. I'll wait another 24 hours and then remove the poster myself.

Thanks, I didn't want to make a big deal out of a little thing but maybe it will serve a purpose in increasing awareness.

naah its kewl ... i'm sure for lower res, something that big can be terribly annoying.
