Predictable win for The Grand Budapest Hotel. I want to punch Wes Anderson in the face.

 Re: 72nd Golden Globe Awards
The, "This is Julianne Moore's year at long last" narrative is incredibly strong. She is definitely going to win the Oscar. This is the one night where I thought, say, Pike or Witherspoon might upset her.

House of Cards season 2 is overrated bullshit.
Did Spacey win last time out? He sure didn't deserve it this time round.

 Re: 72nd Golden Globe Awards
some of these category choices are so silly. Big Eyes and Birdman are comedies? I guess whatever helps the win.

It's a pretty small role, it'd be nice if he's able to be in another one.

 Re: 72nd Golden Globe Awards
I've read more than one article that points out how Selma was (almost) snubbed last night. I feel like as a culture we've started to expect the powerful black film to always walk away with the recognition and it's kind of weird. We're at this place where it seems like we're trying to say "Hey look, I'm not racist! I voted the black movie!" I'm sure Selma is a great film. But maybe Boyhood was a better film? Film is still subjective. If Selma was the better film, fine. But it didn't HAVE to win, because of any other reason besides quality. I know 2014 was a very intense year in the news, but giving an award to the MLK movie doesn't make it all better.

 Re: 72nd Golden Globe Awards
Huh? Nobody has said that Selma should/could win? We've all just said that it should be nominated.
Anyway...
Loved Keaton's speech. He's such a weird guy, but that was an aces speech. He's going to be a mess if he wins the Oscar.

I read a number of articles this morning, and a select few mentioned this. Sorry if it was confusing, I didn't mean anyone here.

 Re: 72nd Golden Globe Awards
I was kind of appalled by the sheer number of celebrities voicing their beliefs and opinions last night on EVERYTHING. After a while, I just waited to see what this celeb or that celeb was going to talk about while accepting an award. They treated it like their own pulpit last night. I'm not one of those "shut up and sing" types that believes celebs should keep their mouths shut, not at all. But everyone had an agenda last night and it ended up being tiresome.

 Re: 72nd Golden Globe Awards
If I can keep up the Globes hate-train, I thought Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig were uncharacteristically bad last night. Complete 180 degree turn from her hilarious "riffing" with Will Ferrell two years ago.
