Huh?

There were around 1,000,000 threads on IMDb regarding the Joker calling her beautiful: how ridiculous this was, how her ugly and lesbo-esque mug ruined parts of the film, etc.

Well, there is a reason I don't hang out on IMDb message boards.

The Globes are so predictable sometimes ("The Affair"). I gotta watch the series.

I thought the punchline was going to be a dying Stanley Kramer saying he wished he could have won a Golden Globe.

I love Kevin Spacey, but him saying that he wants to be better doesn't sound genuine, just like something that he thought would sound good in a speech. I mean, he must know very well that he is considered the best of the best and he is probably well-aware of his great abilities....

Well you aren't really doing your best when your are in TV are you? He'd rather be winning an Oscar or be nominated again than on TV albeit a very good one with a meaty role.

Happy for How to Train Your Dragon 2. Maybe it can slow down the momentum The Lego Movie seemed to have had going for it before tonight.

And congrats to Johann Johannsson.

They forgot Solaris, the bastards. ;)

It seems a bit early for a lifetime-achievement award for Clooney, but it is hard to argue with such a cool dude and so many great films.

The Affair winning is pretty surprising, I thought it wasn't even that acclaimed (The whole category is weird, where is Mad Men, and The Americans is like the drama soup de jour for critics right now and also not nominated)

What? This is not the 90s. TV is where the prestige is at nowadays.

It was one of the least surprising wins of the night. The Globes love new shows and it is an acclaimed new show.

Woo hoo for Richard Linklater. :) Such an awesome career, and Boyhood is a magnum-opus type of project. It will be a joy to see laurels showered upon him this season.

Now Keaton needs to be in a QT film.

I had to mute Keaton's speech for reasons beyond my control. Did he seem cool, or did he come across as a bit of a jaded or disinterested ass? He often edges toward the latter, particularly in situations where he is meant to convey gratitude or play "the game."

I thought he was very humble and I liked how he talked about his family and the recognition of Alejandro.
