Re: [REC] 4: Apocalypse (2014) I saw [REC] and didn't like it, and despite [REC] 3 and [REC] 4 having appealing covers, I haven't checked them out. I hear they're pretty gory. I would like to get around to watching them one of these days.

Re: [REC] 4: Apocalypse (2014) Nah, mat, [REC]3 is a very welcome change of pace, trying a horror-comedy approach for a change. The seocnd film is the worst because it is a carbon copy of the first.

Shaun of the Dead was good (granted, it's more comedy than horror) but I suppose the two genres are just near-impossible to mix due to their polar opposite aims. I think Zombieland is pretty decent for a horror comedy. But what usually happens is the comedy takes over and leaves almost no horror left.
