I never really understood the point of this thread with listing 10 films, but 25 films is really just pointless. I mean, there is a 2014: Films in Review thread.

She likes good movies, and you like movies where a guy takes his shirt off.

Different strokes, man.

Yeah, she just so happens to like every "good" movie (by which I mean critically praised movie) this year.

Her list looks no different than any average critics list.

You're just a complete fucking toolbag.

Precisely. It's as if, as crazy as it sounds, she likes the movies that she knows are positively reviewed. I understand it's a pioneering thought, but just let in manifest and it might just make sense.

I don't understand why it's shocking or noteworthy in any way that I enjoy many of the same movies that film critics do. So what?

I tend to only go see movies that I know don't suck. Sometimes they do, but not usually.

I find a top twenty-five list quite elegant. And I saw over 200 films this year, so it is not as if it my 25 favorite out of the 36 I saw.

Your top ten is also in your signature. ;) But for others, I get how it makes sense.
