 I won't be around for a while (apologies for another joke) Sorry to my Survivor guys, hopefully you can carry on without me. It seems that I got into an argument with a judge yesterday about revealing a source, and one thing led to another and the next thing you know I am being wrestled to the ground by the sheriff and placed in handcuffs. The judge sentenced me to 60 days for contempt but allowed me to start on Saturday so I can close up loose ends in some of my cases and make sure everything is covered. Hopefully they'll allow me to do work release, but in any event I won't be able to get online for a few months. I'll give more details later, and rest assured that other lawyers are fighting on my behalf and it may get overturned, but for now I have to say bye for a while.

It took me a minute. I didn't think anyone was going to bother trying to pull a stunt today with what happened yesterday. I just thought at first you'd be off for awhile cleaning up lose ends in a problem, but then when it got to jailing I thought to myself, no way.

It's all a bunch of unconstructive bullshit. There are very few contexts in which I think lying to people is okay, and a stupid holiday that celebrates it is not one of them.
Perhaps these things might seem funny in retrospect, but I don't think its worth the irrevocable damage it can do to people's trust. For example, I lost quite a bit of trust and respect for everyone involved in the pregnancy bullshit over the past few days.
Call me humorless or thin-skinned (I am neither), I don't care. My two cents.
