Re: Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Nominations
For the winners I'm thinking:
Ensemble
Birdman
Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role
Michael Keaton (Birdman)
Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role
Julianne Moore (Still Alice)
Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role
Edward Norton (Birdman)
Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role
Patricia Arquette (Boyhood)
Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture
Unbroken

THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING (Focus Features) CHARLIE COX / Jonathan Hellyer Jones FELICITY JONES / Jane Hawking SIMON McBURNEY / Frank Hawking EDDIE REDMAYNE / Stephen Hawking DAVID THEWLIS / Dennis Sciama EMILY WATSON / Beryl Wilde For the ensemble category, they could have listed a few more actors from Boyhood, such as the two stepfathers and also Mason's girlfriend. It is also absurd Lindsay Duncan is not nominated with the Birdman ensemble.

Re: Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Nominations
What is the point of rushing to get released on the last week of the year when you can't even get screeners out for nominations?
I mean, the only reason movies are out is to garner awards and if SAG doesn't see it then what's the point?
I mean, yeah Oscars are the real ones, but with all the nominations and winners from all kinds of groups happening beforehand, really what's the point?

Re: Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Nominations
Simmons and Arquette won and I assume, Keaton, Moore and Birdman will also win...

Wow I thought Boyhood was going to cream this race. Never overestimate critics awards

Re: Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Nominations
Umm, no one seriously expected Boyhood to win Ensemble. 12 Years a Slave still was a clear clear favorite, even when American Hustle won Ensemble over it.

Re: Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Nominations
I haven't seen Birdman, hopefully this weekend, but as by-the-numbers Theory of Everything was, Redmayne was excellent.

Was referring to PGA+SAG more than just SAG. No film has ever had PGA, SAG and a Best Director nomination and lost Picture I believe (Apollo 13 and LMS only ones to lose picture after PGA+SAG) which is a streak that could easily be broken and Boyhood is still the favorite, but certainly Birdman has a shot I didn't believe in Birdman but it's one of the best films about actors ever and a shitload of the voters are actors, that could really play in its favour 12 Years A Slave is an exception for coming up short at guilds and still winning Picture cause of the it wins or you're all racists factor imo
