Attack of the Clones is the worst title.

Re: Star Wars - Episode VII - Predictions
Its not that bad. Most move subtitles suck anyway.
It is better than Clones and Phantom Menace atleast.
And I'm glad there is no RISE, REVENGE, AGE or RETURN in the title.
It kinda harks back to A New Hope in a way. We'll all get used to it and end up typing in TFA on these boards anyway.

I like the subtitle.

still think the subtitle is horrible but the teaser is good. I think this will get a bigger opening day than Age of Ultron.

Re: Star Wars - Episode VII - Predictions
Teaser was awesome, but this was going to be BIG regardless. It should be good for a $130M+ opening and obviously it's holiday legs could be insane. Depending on where AOU ends up and the reception for this it could possibly get really close to $500M.
For now I'll say 135/480.

Re: Star Wars - Episode VII - Predictions
Trying to keep it realistic (remember, December is all about legs, not the opening!)
Opening Weekend - $142 million
Total Gross - $480 million

Re: Star Wars - Episode VII - Predictions
I know December is about legs but I think this is a whole different beast. There is going to be a huge rush factor regardless of the date. It will get the December legs if it's good.

Re: Star Wars - Episode VII - Predictions
I do think there will be a huge rush factor for this... but when the November record got destroyed by Twilight, the OW increased by 39.1%. That would put SW at $117.7 mil OW. Which I think is more than acceptable, and would still lead to $400+ mil.

Is this gonna be in IMAX theatres?
I wanna go 400+ right now after that trailer.

I mean, a $150 million opening weekend could easily be enough for a $500+ million total in this case.

Yes it was. Thanks for clearing it up. I don't sub to that twitter or read every little detail but it's good to know it's IMAX.

Re: Star Wars - Episode VII - Predictions
I'm not saying it will happen, but it's conceivable that the OW record could be beaten twice next year if both remain Friday openers. Until the reaction to this teaser I didn't think SW would have a shot with a December opening. Now I do.
