 Best Cinematography 2014
Predictions?
Mine:
Birdman Gone Girl Interstellar Mr. Turner Unbroken
Gone Girl is the one I am least confident in, but they nominated Jeff Cronenweth for lensing The Social Network and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Birdman will win this. I also think Gone Girl has a great chance at a nomination. Interstellar as well.

 Re: Best Cinematography 2014
Unbroken might win. It seems lavish on a visual level, and, if nominated, it would be Roger Deakins' twelfth nomination.

 Re: Best Cinematography 2014
I feel Best Editing might be where Birdman's one-shot illusion will be recognized. Or it may just win both.

 Re: Best Cinematography 2014
The most interesting thing is that this will be the first time since Inception that a 2D-film will win. And if Birdman or Unbroken wins, it'll be the first time since 2008 (Slumdog Millionaire) that a 2D movie without IMAX wins.

It's sad Under The Skin won't be nominated.
