The Pyramid Predictions
20th Century Fox will release this Egypt-set horror film on December 5, 2014 (rightly or wrongly, this is the dreaded post-Thanksgiving frame). It is the only nationwide release scheduled for the 5th, though Horrible Bosses 2 will still be in play and relatively fresh.

I think it should open to around what that film finished. 7 Million opening.

No I don't. I do watch all of the trashy horror though. I love horror so I'll watch most of the main ones that come out. This I'm interested in though because it's from Alexandre Aja's writing partner and I LOVE High Tension and really dig The Hills Have Eyes and Piranha.

Now I would be surprised if this even earns 7 or 8 million. Fox is not advertising it and are only exhibiting it in 500 or so theatres.

BTW I think Fox is clearly dumping this as they have to put their efforts on Exodus from marketing standpoint.

There's no way in hell this gets to that total now with such a pathetic release. Kind of a bummer. Has more potential than As Above So Below, at least quality-wise, not Box Office.

edit, just looked, that's Green Inferno. These type of "tourist exploring new area with ancient ruins" horror films all look the same to me.
