Some foreign shit will take the fifth slot. I would have put in the book of life over the Boxtrolls, but The Academy likes Laika. This may be the most competitive year yet for the genre.

The only one of those films that had a chance to take it from Toy Story 3 was HTTYD, not to mention none of those other 3 were even nominated. IMO, The Lego Movie was superhyperawesome and HTTYD 2 almost was.

While I agree Toy Story 3 > The Lego Movie, I also believe HTTYD 2> HTTYD. It took me a while to get into HTTYD, whereas I loved HTTYD 2 on the first watch. But the Lego Movie is better than both of those IMO.

These three are assured, and it should be a close race between them. And there are a number of films that could fill the final two spots with these five below, in particular, will be ones to watch in my opinion:
Song of the Sea is most likely getting in, but competition isn't light.
The Tale of Princess Kaguya also has a good chance, especially since it could be the Academy's last chance to nominate a Studio Ghibli film.
The Prophet is a solid contender and has Roger Allers behind it.
The Boxtrolls may get in, but its reception isn't as strong as Laika's other films.
The Clockwork Girl... maybe, but it's the weakest of the alternatives I'd say.
