It's a million times more entertaining. "Walking Dead" is boring.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
I enjoy it a lot. It is a solidly creepy and involving horror procedural.
However, I highly doubt I will ever become invested in these characters the way I am with The Walking Dead's ensemble. They are fairly standard-issue types.

The only guy I care about on this show is the old guy. Because he seems like a badass. And the rat guy seems cool.

Kevin Durand's sarcastic exterminator is curiously my favorite character, even though he has not done much yet. I just dig his presence a lot.

There will always be better shows. And I'm assuming you watch far worse than this currently.

The following episodes havent been as good as the first, I thought this was gonna make me feel what Coven did. It doesn't.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
I do not entirely understand the purpose of the brooding Latino thug with a heart of gold, but I continued to enjoy the vampire action in the latest episode, including the welcome, creepy, gooey autopsy scene.

Also, that dude who locked himself in the shed, good on him. Minus eating his dog. But his wife is CUCKOO.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
In my opinion, the most recent episode is the best yet. Very suspenseful.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
I have been really enjoying this. I hope shit starts to get really bad.
I can't remember what scene it was, but it was quiet and eerie... and then my puppy decided that was a perfect time to let out a quick bark. Scared the crap out of us.

Were those vampires who happen to be vampire hunters at the end?

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
This show has such a shitty narrative. The most intriguing thing that happened so far were those vampire killers (who are vampires?). That was like 2 or 3 episodes ago. And they are yet to be seen again. Instead the show focuses on schmaltzy plots like "where's my mom/wife?".

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
Last nights episode was kind of weak... but so far it's been aces. I'm assuming head vampire has some plan for momwife.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
Since Season 1 is coming to an end with just two episodes left I can honestly say that overall I had fun with this show. It's not anything revolutionary, but I like the mythology and the direction it's going in is pretty interesting.
Fet and Gus are easily my favorite characters and I can't wait to see what they do next season. Hopefully, the writing improves aswell.

It's getting good! Very creepy and they've built the scenes up very well.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
I have enjoyed the season overall. It does have flaws (a pacing issue here, a frustrating character trait there), but it has a core of creepy excitement which has held my interest. And a few of the characters are blossoming into real gems, particularly Kevin Durand's exterminator.
I do wish we could see more of the squad of vampire-hunting vampires.

Got another little tiny bit of the vampire-hunting vampires.
Though I'm very curious as to why they were SHIPPING VAMPIRES and WHERE THEY WERE GOING.

Fine finale. Very interesting direction they're going with the vampire hunting vampires.
