Too bad the rest of the film is so bland, unnecessarily complicated and lifeless. If it wasn't for her, I never would've finished it, or watched it for that matter. Grade: C+ (generous for McAdams... she really can save an otherwise bad movie)

 Re: The Time Traveler's Wife
It's actually much much below average. That comment belongs in the "Morning Glory" thread, along with mister ecks about McAdams saving the film. She didn't save this one at all imo, she was actually pretty bad, yet still better than everything around her.

Although I'm anxious to see Morning Glory now, bad reviews aside.

He's a good, charismatic actor. He just hasn't had the best luck in America.

The Time Traveler's Wife
What a great film! I'd seen it mentioned and seen its cover before, and I always bypassed it because it looks like one of those films that is never a priority to watch, but it was such a surprise treat. Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams acted superbly, the timelines are spot-on and the whole story is elevated by this genuinely unique and romantic scenario.
I pretty much love time-travel films, and this was still rather original. I have just one question; the two hunters that shot Bana, was one of them his father-in-law? I thought it was, which would have added another angle altogether.
B+

 Re: The Time Traveler's Wife
I actually really like Eric Bana. He's the main reason I am looking forward to Deliver Us From Evil.

 Re: The Time Traveler's Wife
Meh, I found Source Code to do more for time travel. Performances are good though, it just never really resonates more than a play on a romantic film. It is a wonderful premise though. B

 Re: The Time Traveler's Wife
Bana and McAdams are very good in this, but that's also the only thing the film can be credited for. Otherwise it's just a dull endeavor, that feels everything more like the average Lifetime film. Not much else to say about, watch it if you like the leads only. It's also an interesting concept, but it's poorly executed and without any pull to feel connected to the story.

Did you watch About Time? Me and my wife plan to watch it next. About Time is the far superior "Rachel McAdams time travel romance film" Did you watch it yet?
